    Gwynn all day.

If you find yourself struggling for whatever reason against the pitcher you're facing, he'll even get you base hits laying one down, even with 3rd baseman playing 3rd base drag defense.

I'm doing it a little different. I have Hornsby leading off and Rollins hitting 2nd. You face more right handers than left so if I get Hornsby on then there is a hole on the right side for Rollins to hit to.

Altuve right now. Was hoping I would be receiving a lot of free walks due to him getting plucked but no luck yet.

I love the headliner altuve. Small strike zone, great swing with pop and some speed. Didn't think i would keep that card after getting it.

Weird i raked with 93 tony but hit flubbers with 99 tony. I sold him. Outfield too stacked for me to keep him in. I loved his 93 until the big dogs arrived.

Sig Lofton. Before that, it was his 91. His swing and speed are just excellent for setting the table. And he has sneaky pop!

99 Gwynn is a big dog. Maybe not with power, but perfect for leadoff role, and diamond defense.

Also weird is my 99 Gwynn is hitting .312 BA with 557 AB, .810 OPS, 75 SB, 8 CS, but 99 Gwynn Prestige is hitting only .289 BA with 90 AB, .634 OPS, 12 SB, 0 CS (maybe small sample size, but still).

I guess I’m just not new-school enough to use a power/speed guy like mantle or trout in the lead off spot. I like the traditional lead off profile guys — slap contact hitters who have lots of speed, can steal, and will set the table for the power guys. I’ve mainly used Carew, Jackie, and Gwynn this year. All are excellent. Also — I had more success with the 86 Prospect Madrigal than the 95 FS version.

Rickey was my dude for almost all of 19 but unfortunately he’s way too expensive this year. I just unlocked Brock a week or two ago and he’s been a great free alternative.

When we get 99s for Cobb and Honus I’ll probably rotate them Into the #1 role, too.

In the past month or so, I've changed my leadoff hitter quite a bit...

Ken Griffey Jr. (Post-Season) was doing real well for me but then I replaced him with Mickey Mantle after I unlocked the HRD Griffey Jr., Mantle was obviously excellent but then I unlocked Jimmy Rollins and put him there. Surprisingly, I didn't do that well with Rollins in the leadoff spot but I kept him in for quite some time.

Finally, I think I've found my end-game leadoff man, Luis Robert (Future Stars). He has the perfect amount of scariness in the batter's box and on the base-paths that I was looking for. I think I've finally found the perfect lineup combination...

    [1] Luis Robert [RF]
    [2] Mickey Mantle [LF]
    [3] Jim Thome [1B]
    [4] Gary Sheffield [3B]
    [5] Robinson Cano [2B]
    [6] Matt Wieters [C]
    [7] Andre Dawson [CF]
    [8] Jimmy Rollins [SS]

99 Biggio. Have tried 95 Henderson during HOF Babe monents because of his speed and might try 99 Roberts there.
