Who has been your Ruth program MVP so far?
-
Mike Scott. Threw a perfect game with him in the AL hall of fame game. The CPU cannot hit him.
-
Bellinger. I hit at least 3 walk off home runs with him, one of them was the one vs the AL on hof.
-
Nolan Ryan mowed down every single team for me. On the hitting side it was probably Jimmy Rollins, dude hit a game tying homer for me in the 9th of the last HOF game in a 2 strike count... never been more hyped in my life
-
Mike Schmidt and Trevor Hoffman
-
Easily Maddux. I'm pretty bad at hitting, but he makes me look like a master in comparison to his victims.
-
Any card with 100+ power since anything below that is just a weak out

Mine's gotta be Lofton at lead off, timely hits, elite CF D and game changing speed on the bases. Reggie is runner up
Edit: I was going to revise mine with Maddux and Rollins split. I shut out all of the HOF NL divisions 18 innings straight. I ran an all diamond infield along with his diamond fielding and NOTHING got through
Maddux has got to be the first pitcher where I feel like I have had complete control of the game and made THIS AI feel absolutely clueless
JIM THOME

Started players league Blake Snell every game. Probably only gave up 1 or 2 runs the entire program.
Also Kike’s Topps card hit a couple solo shots that kept me from having to go into a 4th inning
-
For the 9-inning game, it was Biggio who hit two of the four solo shots in a 4-2 victory and he led off the game with one.
-
There were two guys on my team that would consistently get hits/home runs when I really needed them.
David Ortiz and Ernie Banks. I swear every game winning RBI came from one of those two. -
Trout and Kendall
Trout cause I just mash with him and Kendall has been an onbase machine at the bottom of the line up. Kendall has extended inning 3 times for a late pinch hit that have lead to runs. Really love that Kendal card.
Have I mention how much I love the Kendal card before?
Kendal!!!!

I’ve set two lineups, one for vs. RHP and one for vs. LHP. Hornsby has crushed either way. But against RHP, I’ve used POTM Grandal and he’s come up big.

- Didi 2) Cano 3) Orel

I’ve just been doing the Hall of fame ones so far. I’m 7-0 riding the Ryan Express.
Pretty much this for me. I did all the MLB 6 and 9 inn HOF games with either Hal or Nolan as the pitcher and just trying new cards as hitters. CPU cannot score to save their lives. I gave up 2 runs in one game 1 in another, shutouts in all the rest, and won them all. Not looking forward to the 30 All Star games at all though.

Wanna know what makes this game so dang great? Look at the different names that have been listed. It’s not just the same 3-5 same guys. It’s a laundry list of different types.
Thank you SDS for not becoming EA or 2K......yet
-
Just finished all 30 AS games...Nolan Ryan allowed 3 runs total in 80+ innings, his FB blew everyone away.
For hitting its a tie, both Larry Walker and Rogers Hornsby killed it.
Also Bellinger def did not save for 1 HR, but really gonna make me consider frank thomas if hes a 7th inning boss, or hopefully gehrig at one point (no chance i get ruth, I BARELY scraped through AS, and honestly I dont see the fun in subjecting myself to that)

Award Trout and Prime Mickey killed the ball, and Kluber was very reliable.
Jackie Robinson (his D at 3rd and gap hits) and Eric Davis (his D in Center along with clutch batting) are worth mentioning too.My various Bronze fielders at 3rd, were my biggest disappointments. Hard hit grounders went right through them....which is why I put Jackie there.
Also, while HR Cano was excellent at hitting homeruns, his defense at 2nd was terrible. He got like 3-4 errors. -
