Is he that good for you guys that I should go 400k out of my way for him or should I just pass on him

I was hesitant because I wasn't hitting great with his LS card. Had a ton of the stuff already done so spent about 250k for him and he mashes. Only regret could be there are a ton of really good outfielders and there will be a ton more

He lives up to the stats for me, I can't see myself going after Griffey or Mays or any future outfield guys anymore

He's as good as you'd expect a collection reward to be especially once prestiged.

Pass, lot of similar or better OF options, Mantle, Davis and the eventual Mays and Griffey, his LS with perks is pretty much the same. I tried him on a friend's acct and he is not much diff. from his LS. The ones who have him will say he's worth it to try and justify what they spent on him even if they had the cards in place to get him

For sure do it if you’re only 400k away. Smart move is to just get it out of the way now. There’s tons of stubs to be made right now and in the near future.

I've got a lot of stubs saved up for this but I'm waiting until a while after the stub sale when I hope the prices go down a little bit.

With all due respect, you lost your credibility when you compared 99 trout to Eric davis. Trout is the second best card next to mantle and way better than his live series. Everyone that talks about the quirks on his live series have clearly never used the mvp edition. The ball comes off the bat like a rocket.

I hit better with Trout than my Prestige Mantle. Not sure where the hate comes from as this card is crazy good.

The hate comes from people who can’t and will never be able to use him lol.

I was a skeptic, but this card is very good. Babe having a 1B secondary is another reason to get Trout

That is my thought. I have ZERO chance at getting him within the next month or so anyway.

I didnt really want him, but completed him when I realized I had enough cards I wanted to keep anyway.

I'm hitting him leadoff and he has been incredible. Leadoff HRs, walks, doubles, singles, stolen bases, he does it all. Much better than LS imo.

That's really my kind of point, if you have most of the cards already in place have at it, but if you have to spend 1.5 to 2 mil stubs it's def. not worth it as there are better or similar options in Mantle, Davis, Walker, with Griffey and Mays on the way. There is a reason most people were disappointed with this collection

I’ll admit at first I was disappointed by Trout being the “big” collection. wasn’t a priority to get him. But now since I’m only 1 Prime card and 5 Topps Now cards from getting him I’m excited. Already have Mantle, got Ruth today... and since 99 Jackie is playing awful defensively in left field for me i can put Mickey in left and put Trout in centerfield. And I still have 1.5 Million Stubs
