I'm not even being sarcastic. I'm honestly asking if there's an article or video somewhere that explains what determines hitting outcomes because I would LOVE to know. I don't think it exists though because I honestly don't think it CAN exist. I think SDS has created a hitting engine with so much randomness involved that they literally can't explain how it works and so they just... don't.

Here's an example. I started at 550 this ranked season because I barely played last season. But I'm a WS player and I've beaten pitching-rebel (this year) and McGunski (last year) so I like to think I'm not a scrub. Here's hitting outcomes for my last 8 games.

    My hits:. 83
    My opponent hits: 87

    My HRs: 12
    My opponent HRs: 30...wait for it...6. 36!!!

So not only is my opponent getting rewarded with a HR on a staggering 41% of their base hits, but their hitting HRs at almost 3x the pace that I am. How am I honestly supposed to compete? I would love for SDS to come on here and explain this phenomenon to me. Explain to me why, over an 8 game stretch. 41% of my opponents hits are HRs but I have perfect swing outs with 99 Rollins (twice), prestiged 99 Thome, and 99 Dawson. Explain how I can put a hanging sinker in the middle of the PCI with good timing with 99 Mantle for a 94mph exit velo (so not even "hard hit" by StatCast standards), but my opponent can hit an oppo flyball with "ok" contact that carries out.

Explain what we need to do as users to be rewarded by this system that YOU created but can't seem to explain.

Settle down Karen, it sounds like they were just better than you and have much better PCI placement. It realistically just comes down to you not being as good as your opponent.

Not to mention that the fact that our actual base hits being even should prove that PCI placement is generally the same. Unless you think I'm SO lucky that I can get a huge number of bad swings to be base hits while at the same time being SO unlucky that I give up HRs on an insane percentage of hits. But that would take an actual thought process so I'm sure that's not what you were doing

Dude give it a rest. Stop making excuses and just accept that you’re not that good. Once you accept it the game will be more fun for you. So to comment on what you said in your first post, yes you are a scrub and no just because you beat whoever pitching rebel is does not mean you are not a scrub. Just because your made WS in a previous year does not mean you’re in fact a WS caliber player this year lol.

SDS can't give a definitive answer on any aspect of the game, simply because they themselves don't understand how it works

May as well be called 'wild guess 1.22' not a patch. A patch is by definition, a fix.

If we were touring the SDS studios and suddenly became engulfed in flames, SDS would not give a definitive answer about where to find a fire extinguisher.

Just try and relax and have fun playing a video baseball game. That is all this is. Stop pulling data and trying to understand the mechanics of things. Just play.

If they did give an answer, they would say "it's over there in the corner of that wall". When you get there, it would be in the center.

And then some fans would defend it by saying “hey man, that’s just fire extinguishers!”

Mine was [censored]. "Mommy, [censored]". Now its "SDS GameDay, [censored]." lol. I suppose I haven't advanced much as a human. Though you could look at it as I was a very advanced three year old. lol. I kid.

Edit; they really just censored p o o p. lol

I have no idea how to answer your question. I believe you must have the Cincinnati Reds hitting coach as your controller. Its painful to watch the Reds play as well 😞
