Just curious how many are doing this. As many of you know to be competitive in this game you need to become comfortable using the zone hitting input. Most people however, use buttons to initiate the swing. I decided to try to use right analog to initiate my swing and left analog to move my pci. I’m actually finding that my timing is much better doing this than using the buttons. At first I thought my coordination would be an issue but it never was an issue. How many of you have tried this. If not I highly recommend trying this. Let me know what you guys think or tell me about your experiences using this particular input.

I go back and forth with analog and buttons. I like the analog better, but I do like the power and contact swing options with buttons better than the analog.

It’s intuitive and not to hard to start using it, but like other things in life, you start to analyze and adjust and lose the fresh feeling and probably regress a bit.

I agree with @john3221 that’s the only way to play... unless I am having a horrible time at the plate and switch to make it fresh again ‘til I get bored.

I hate hitting with buttons and the CPU doing the stride for me in real life that don't happen.

In real like you don’t use a controller so I’m not getting your point

Can’t remember who it was on YouTube. Saw them use button mapping to set normal swing to R2. Thought about doing it but never got around to it.

I'm was talking about the players themselves. Mike Trout don't have nothing or no one striding for him he time it his self😀

I tried this and I actually like it. Took a bit to get used to, but it feels more natural to me. Will keep using and hopefully the results are positive.
