17 combined all star appearances, 3000+combined hits. Signature pitcher and MVP Legend. The only MVP legends in this game with over 2800+ hits(assuming the pitcher could get 200) are Willy Mays, Cal Ripken, Rickey Henderson, Pudge, and Brooks Robinson. Safe to say the hitter is guaranteed Rickey Henderson as Mays, Ripken, and Brooks have over 17 allstar appearances and pudge has 14. Rickey has 10, so the pitcher could be any of Sale, Scherzer, Wagner, Hoffman, Lee Smith, Kimbrel(WS reward last year so not him), and Robin Roberts. Guesses on the pitcher? Rickey is a lock IMO

My guess is Ricky and Sig Wagner.

My guess is Ricky/ Albert and Sig Wagner.
Albert would be classified as a flashback, not legend
-
Bob Gibson had 274 career hits....
-
Robin roberts has 255 career hits. Scherzer has 90 ish and sale is an al pitcher who never hits and the others are releivers who wouldnt hit either.
My guess is ricky and robin based on clues. Everything fits

Everything fits with all of them. Rickey alone has 3000 hits so it doesn’t matter how many hits the pitcher has

If it’s Wagner, I’m still successful with his 94. That card is going to be filthy. Definitely worth playing ranked this season for.
-
Mark Buehrle still needs his diamond card for the year. He seems like the kind of guy we’d see in WS or BR rather than as an inning boss. Even though Buehrle was, in fact, a boss.
EDIT: he was a 5x All-Star, fwiw
DOUBLE EDIT: with 9 career hits (including 1 tank).

Buehrle doesn't deserve a 99. Low 90's yes but not a 99.

Did they say for sure it was a 99? Oh well. He deserves probably a 95. If it were MLB19 where they handed out 99s like candy then yeah he’d get a 99 lol.
-
Clue #2 pretty much cinches Rickey. My guess for the pitcher is Wagner.

I'm with you man. I still have that card in my bullpen. 94 Wagner and Dibble share the closer role based on matchups. He's nearly unhittable every time I use him.

He strikes me as a low tier DOTP add on or henchman type tbh

Not that I have anything against the guy but where else do you release him? He would have to be a 97 or higher to be a headliner. I just don’t think his rating would call for any other way of release

I’m just giving you a hard time and I’m just being a homer. I think a low-tier or maybe middle-tier DotP probably fits him best.
As good as Paulie was, I think Buehrle’s career was even better (even though it’s impossible to compare the two fairly). Konerko’s FotF is a 98, so I would be a little miffed if Buerhle only got like a 92 or something (not that I can complain — SDS has been very, very good to the Sox this year!)
-
Or Buehrle could get a player program. Considering he would be somewhere in the 95 ish range that would be much later on though.
