To spend or not to spend?
-
Sitting on 350k stuns currently. Really only need an upgrade on one outfield spot on my team. Should i keep saving stubs or buy some of the cards I need for the mantle collection? I need the big 6 plus a few more.
-
Buy a few outfielder and sell them when you get better options.
Davis, Dawson, Gwynn, Brock, and Kaline all are great. Obviously Walker if you don’t have him.
-
Larry Walker, Al Kaline, Andre Dawson, Tony Gwynn, so many great options for the outfield
-
I have Davis currently. Waiting for walker price to drop some of HRD judge to go down some as well. Looked at Kaline but need some more pop don’t know that he has enough.
-
I’m not sure if Larry’s price is going to drop any further for awhile , but I’ve been wrong before

If Mays was not coming I’d say that Walker was end game. He still might be. I can move him to left and a Mantle to right. Nobody plays CF like Mays. At least based on last year

Don’t forget about Griffey. Babe and Ted will be coming as well, too bad we don’t have DH’s.

there is zero chance that Griffey plays a better centerfield than Mickey Mantle. Mickey Mantle is arguably the best card ever released in this franchise. he is a five tool player and the switch-hitting aspect just puts him over the top in my opinion.

Griffey will have better defense, but the difference is negligible.

I mean.... I know a lot of people (me included) had a lot of trouble with Griffey in MLB 19, he certainly didn't play like a diamond fielder. That weird over the shoulder thing where'd he'd miss stuff

Best defense in CF will be Mays and Jones. Jones was the best ever.

Mays was amazing in Center last year! Mickey has to move over for Mays and Griffey, Walker will be a bench bat for me then

Prestige mickey has diamond fielding. He has more speed as well. Last year Griffey had some goofy animations in the field as well. He does have a cannon though.

I completely forgot how bad Griffey’s defense was last year! It was horrific yet comical

I agree with you but here's the thing. What was mays Fielding last year? Was it 95 or higher? if it is this year then you can move mays to right field and he will still have Diamond Fielding. Prestige Mickey only has 90 or 92 Fielding so if you move him from out of center he turns to gold. I like diamond Fielding but it's not the end of the world
-
I already did the Mantle collection and it is well worth it. LS Trout rakes for me, so I would get him first. I thought about spending stubs on the 99 Trout collection but if I get every position set there will be no incentive to play the game. If you are happy with your team just wait for a new OF to come out. Gives you something to look forward to.
