Yeah been thinking about getting Rivera. I see alot of mixed reviews on here.

I did those saves on the events it was a lot easier. Treinen and Mo are similar in that you have to be able to effectively mix fastballs or you’ll get rocked with them. I was terrible with Rivera so I sold him, doing better with Treinen so far.

givera is the easiest closer to face in the game imo. wagner still the toughest

Mo is buns. I couldn't pitch with him and every time I faced him I smoke the ball. There's nothing deceptive about his pitches. They all seem to come in at the same speed and they're either right over the plate or far inside out of the zone

I haven’t had any of the issues with Treinen that most have seemed to have. The thing is with Treinen, Mo and other pitchers with a signature pitch is to figure how to utilize that pitch without being too easy to read. For example: Mo has the cutter, but unlike in real life if you completely rely on that pitch in this game he’ll get lit up like a Christmas tree. The trick is to figure out how to make that pitch be as unhittable as it was in real life. Now I’m not going to give away my secrets as I don’t want them used against me but the key is to be able to use tunneling to make his other pitches initially look like that cutter. I don’t try to strike people out but instead induce weak contact. Obviously the strikeouts come I just don’t try.

Had a lvl 50 prestige quit with one out left last night before i could get that 2nd save... gotta love it... someone with mantle and trout and has played that much doing that...

Rivera doesn't have any deception to his delivery just easy to pick up.

That’s why you can use tunneling so effectively with Mo. everything comes out at the same release point.
