After I finished the player program figured what the heck. Played a RS game and threw him in center. I'm not a very good player mind you. Batted him second. Facing Hershiser I believe in the 3rd inning he hits a 2 run homer. In the 8th game tied 3-3 my opponent has runner on 3rd with 55 speed. He hits a fairly deep fly to right center. Laureano catches it and throws a strike to home nailing him at the plate. Game still tied in bottom of 12th I have a man on 2nd Laureano triples off the wall for a walk off win. He single handedly won the game with bat and glove. Was fun to use an obscure guy like that and have him perform. Give him a try.

Was flipping thru the channels and stumbled across the 1971 Allstar game. WOW...Clemente...Stargell...Bench..Marichal..Killebrew..Palmer...Brooks Robinson...Fergie Jenkins...Mickey Lolich...and alot more. What a blast watching these guys. Whole game on.
Too bad the mission wasnt to get 10 blown saves with Blake Treinen. I would of had those 20 stars pretty quick. LOL
Interesting fact about Stan Musial. In 1957 he became the first MLB player in history to have an annual salary of $100,000. In 1959 after a subpar season he went to the cardinals and asked them to cut his salary to $80,000. Imagine that happening today. Noway.
That extra pitch for Chapman is a knee buckling changeup. Very effective when people are sitting for that 102mph fastball.
So I'm in 9th inning showdown in the first elimination against Vida Blue. Score is 2-2 so I only need one more run to move on. I have bases loaded and still have 6 outs left. Ofcourse thinking I got this. Hit a fly ball to medium center with 78 speed at 3rd base. So I'm gonna tag up and it's over. Lol I hit the button early and all my runners advance (brain fart). Center fielder throws to 3rd who throws to 2nd who throws to first. Quadruple play. All I could do was laugh. Next batter struck out. I just swung at anything. Now I have 1 out left. 0-2 count I hit a bomb with Dejong. Crazy
For me that's alot of the fun of the game. Finding cards that work for you. As good as that Larry Walker card is I cant hit anything with him. I think that open stance throws me off. My favorite card so far is Dylan Carlson. Seem to have the most luck with him.
Played an event game againt....Give Trienen the save and I quit. I was like really? LOL
As much as I hate the showdown grind am I right that it's the most economical way to move thru team affinity? Even if you lose the final showdown you make stubs and xp. Please someone tell me if I'm wrong. The showdown grind wears me out. LOL
Brian Robert's not a top 10 2B? He's atleast top 5.

So sorry about your loss. Was good that you got to spend time with him at the end. Ironically I am watching the Ke Burns documentary called Baseball. Have seen it many times. Just as I read your post they were covering the 75 series. One of the best ever.watched it live on tv as a teenager. Lots of memories.
What's the best thing to do? Dashboard out without making any selections or just pick 4 of the common players for now?
Might be 3 different versions of Griffey as the boss. Maybe a prime..sig..and awards. All would have different attributes so you choose which one you want. In the teaser they did have 3 Griffeys all in a row. Just a possibilty.
Was having a hard time with it also. Finally went to directional and used power swing and didnt touch the joystick. Got it on 2nd try. Not sure if that works for you but worth a try.
Loved that documentary. We need a Mordecai ( Three Fingers) Brown card. LOL
How do you check the lineup screen for lag?Newbie this year and curious. Not very good and dont really care about home or away but hate games with bad lag.
I thought that Baseball documentary was Ken Burns. Great watch.
I dont look at that as bunt cheesing. That was a good strategy given the game situation.
