Not sure why everybody is so disappointed, first off completing the program is really easy unless, of course, you decided to sell high value cards earlier this year and are now regretting that decision because it will cost you more to buy them back than when you sold them originally. However, for those that saved their high value legends and flashbacks it’s an easy program to finish and the reward is a Trout on steroids (pun intended) card. I’ll take that. Seems to me to be sour grapes more than anything else, because now those that have to go back out on market to get cards that they previously had at inflated rates to complete a program that the reward doesn’t match the contribution they have to make to complete it. What’s even funnier is I saved my cards and I still have well over 200k in stubs to just throw around at interesting cards. Just my thoughts.

    I wanted a 5-tool player, I got a 5-tool player.

I did want it to be much more difficult so the card was more exlusive. However, I went from 460k -> 1.9M from selling cards I didn't need.

While I wasn't overly excited that it was trout, more so because I can't hit with him for some reason, the set was easy, and I made over 860k selling off what I didn't need, and jumped 4 spots on the prestige level, I'm not disappointed, just need to learn how to hit with him...

I agree I was very excited the fact that we got a 5 tool player and made sooooooooo many stubs it’s crazy! I really dislike how many people complain ALL the time I think SDS does a great job with content and not making ppl spend a ton of money of their game

This collection was so much easier than last year imo. Which makes me think there could be a part 2 Honus/Trout type collection towards the end of the game where you need to collect like 40+ of the 3 major card types and like 15-20 prestige cards, plus any new card collections that get added

People just get their expectations out of whack. When you work yourself up to think you're getting Bonds or Aaron or Randy Johnson it's going to be a disappointment when it turns out to be a guy that already has a 95 rated card in the game.

First at bat facing him: homer

I wish I was so good I could complain getting that card

As a lifelong Angels fan (yes there are some of us) I'm content with the content of Awards Trout, Awards Upton (albeit he's on the Dbacks) and Awards Simmons. My goodness though Angels in the Outfield is an understatement. And none have a secondary of 1st base to hold it down until Pujols drops.

Don’t worry, they will nerf him the next time a big stub spending promo drops

Just wanted it to be a card of someone that didn’t already have a high-level card. Trout plays up with inside edge every day already. Love Trout, just not for this.

live series trout with quirkss and inside edge does not compare to this card. Trust me I have both. Small sample size with the new trout but everything he hits is demolished. Not to mention the better fielding and speed and overall contact makes the PCI better. The card is a monster and will be all year. this card is very attainable. The people that say cost way too much must have sold their entire inventory and that's tucked up on cards recently with the stubs they had. I literally unlock this card and made hundreds of thousands of stubs without doing anything. It's like they handed me a millie stubs and a free endgame outfield card. What's the catch sds? Usually you pick pocket me. This time you stuffed money in mypocket.

I am/was disappointed, but it isnt a deal-breaker for me. There are plenty of cool cards to use from the eras that I like. Plenty to do in the game.

I’m disappointed only because I thought it was a multi-tiered HR chase from the 90s. Sosa Big Mac Bonds Maris maybe Ruth.....I bought into the hype. And I have mantle...

So you are saying because it is “easy” to collect ( Easy for some, hard for others ), that we can’t be disappointed in who they picked ? No one cared what the stats were going to be for the most part. Stat wise it was always going be a good card. What most of us wanted was a “ name “. A legend with good stats. They gave us a live series player who already had a more than serviceable card. Yet we still don’t have a high end Ruth , Williams and so on.

It’s not about the stubs. You are rationalizing that anyone who doesn’t like the reward must not have the stubs to finish the collection. I have way more stubs then I will ever need. Yet, I am disappointed in who they selected. Shocking huh?

Well, I don't have enough cards to complete 15 collections needed yet. However, I have had Trout's LS card since March, so happy where I am with that. My standing inventory already got me a good amount of rewards..had enough to complete 10 collections and get a lot of stubs and XP for it, so not bad.

I don't know why all the complaining is happening either. I completed it just from what I had on hand at the time. I was hoping to get enough XP to get to level 5 prestige going in and I ended up almost at level ten! That and the stubs were pretty cool and I got a great card too. This last couple of weeks has been great as far as content. So many cards that I am losing track of certain players.

I don’t know why people are salty. I don’t really want the Trout, but he’s fine if you’re a fan. I think a lot of people expected way too much, some of the names being thrown around were crazy, from Bonds to McGwire and Hank Aaron. If you set your expectations that high, you can only be disappointed.

I have to believe that those cards are coming later.

Especially seeings that Bonds is not even a plausible option to be making an argument about.
