Dude, that wasn't much of a chase......I've had a chase for a hamburger that was harder than this. Took me 3 mins to unlock and I didn't stockpile...and what I got, was from playing and getting.

You may very well be correct. But to be honest, I didn't think it would be completable 3 mins after it dropped.

Nah. I'm one to keep my cards, anyway, regardless on if I use them. I dunno, this Trout is great and all, but not nearly as good as Wagner last year. And this collection was far, far easier to complete. We'll see.

I thought that was the point, though. I eventually got Honus last year, but took a month after it dropped. I kind of enjoyed the hunt.

whats the point of releasing another collection late into the games cycle? Madden/NBA are coming out and some will stop playing MLB. The more months pass the fewer people are playing. I guess they can release someone new for us who continue to play late into the game but not doesn't make sense for SDS to release another collection later on.

SDS knows EXACTLY...
- how many people earned Mays and Honus last year
- how many people earned Mantile this year
- how many people would already qualify for Trout on Day 1

I thought that was the point, though. I eventually got Honus last year, but took a month after it dropped. I kind of enjoyed the hunt.
It was, but I doubt they want to put out content that only 2% of their players can use.
I'm not defending it or anything, but just like making showdowns easier, this was done through user data.

I think SDS has done a good job in a covid year of making cards a little easier, knowing that they’ll make money going on multi platforms soon..

- In case you haven't noticed, the real-life season started and SDS is piggybacking off of that.
- Sony recently dropped the price as part of the sale so they're expecting the user base to increase.
- They always save some giant must-have cards later in the year to keep interest sustained (Immortal Kershaw/Sandberg in 18, Signature Griffey/Ruth/Vlad in 19)
