I am sure it was mentioned but haven't heard it, but what if they surprised everyone from left field with players that never got a legitimate chance at the MLB, like Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson or Oscar Charleston?

In my opinion something like a Josh Gibson is the best we can hope for. All the best legends not in the game right now are such big names that they would make a bigger deal about them earlier in the year. Although i may [censored] my pants if it's Frank Robinson. But a Negro league player would have the attributes to be an end game player, without the name recognition.

I'd love a Josh Gibson card.

I think Frank Robinson would be pretty sweet as well. Putting all the politics aside on what people think, with all the issues we are seeing and MLB having a united stance on BLM, I think there is a decent chance you could see a Negro League Player. However, it isn't I also believe it's a player that we haven't seen. I think the only other chance is Hank Aaron, he also represents a player who fought through many racial injustices. His life was threatened if he broke the HR record.

Gibson would be fantastic, but they should really do it right and have an entire program dedicated to them so they could bring in Gibson, Satchel, Cool Papa Bell, Rube Foster, and Buck O'Neil.

Perhaps the recent awareness push and the multi-platform launch next year can motivate the team to get this done for MLBTS21.

I like this idea of a path of these players that you have to go through to get to Jackie. As long as we are wishful thinking they could link it to the cover athlete Clemente.

If they did, I hope they bring in their jerseys too.
