I’m three months back into playing the The Show after a long lay off. I never worked the market with my duplicate cards, I usually just use the “Sell now”. I’m very grateful and lucky to have pulled my second Mike Trout card last night. What’s the best way to go about maximizing my return by selling? “Sell now” option or list on market place?

You never sell now unless you really want the stubs at that exact moment. If you look I'm sure there is a pretty big difference between the buy now and sell now orders. List the card for sale a little bit under the lowest buy now order in order to maximize your profits. trout may not be any higher than he is right now for the rest of the year seeing as a stub sale will end today.

As a very quick guide, set your card for sale just below the current lowest "Buy Now" price for that card. That will always get you more than "Sell Now"... at least 10% more, up to 20% depending on conditions.

The only reason you'd sell now is if the sell now price is very similar to the buy now price. sometimes you get people paying over the odds on the sell now and at that point, you may as well take it.

    e.g. Buy Now listings
    33,000
    33,500
    33,750

    Sell Now listing
    32,990
    27,000
    26,999

At this point the 'true' Sell Now is around 27,000 but for such a small difference in stubs, you may as well sell now and bank the stubs. Otherwise, put the order in and wait, otherwise you're 'losing' 10-20% each time you sell a card. Happy hunting.

other thing to look at on the market is for any situations where there's a much lower than average Buy Now price. It can be worth buying that card at the low buy now, just to re-list it at a sensible price and again banking the difference as profit for your patience.

    e.g. Buy Now
    13,000
    17,500
    17,501
    17,504

Might as well buy it at 13,000 and then relist at 17,499 - knock off 10% as tax and you're still going to bank about 2,700 of profit. Easy!

Great advice and feedback guys. I’ve also noticed Trout’s particular priced since March. Was 335k? Now 245k? Will his value go up again?

Maybe a bit, it’s low right now because of the massive amount of packs they rewarded recently from 6th Inning stuff and all the Ballin is a Habbit packs from the TA3 completions
