Smoltz in ‘20 as announcer?

Not sure if this has been brought up here or officially announced by SDS, but on MLB Network, Smoltz was asked if he knew he was in the game. Smoltz responded “I knew I was in this game, but I didn’t know I was in this game as a player.”

I’d assume this has to mean Smoltz has recorded lines for the game and will be in the booth with Matty V. I’m hoping he replaces D-Ro, but I’m afraid it will be Plesac in a pitcher-for-pitcher swap.

He was on an MLB Network show in the video I linked. I don’t know? But it sure sounds like he is in as more than just a player.

He has been on MLB Network before for televised games, I could see that.
