Event Withdrawl

I really enjoyed the last event and have not enjoyed this one at all. Hitting seemed great in the last one but it appears that they lowered the hitting sliders in this one??? The exit velocities have been terrible for me. I had a perfect perfect with Thome that didn't make it to the warning track and only had 87 mph exit velocity. Many other squared with good timing that were 75-85 mph. Most games have been 3 or less runs each which is crazy for all star. Just not fun for me when you feel like you are hitting good but not getting results.

The last one was common pitchers this one you face the best pitchers in the game, Hitting did not change, the pitchers you have to face changed.

to me the rewards are bleh Upton is just ok but a corner OF I don't know if he will even make a lot of new players lineup and Simmons is basically a worse Ozzie but alas 2 more awards series players for tomorrow
The only rewards that matter are the DOTP and HRD, if you want big collection reward, need to get these cards, either earn them in the event, or others earn them and lower the price tag. So the rewards are worth it, if you are going for the big collection card.

No, I'm talking about the one that just wrapped up. It was prime/Signature/Awards and FOTF players for both pitching and hitting.

Ok, Yeah I did not play that one.

I don't like that I am always getting paired up with guys who have fully stacked teams and are high prestige levels

Not a fan, its basically RS, but only 3 innings and plays a bit better. Don't get me wrong, it helps me work on Prestige Davis, but still events are better when you are able to use cards you dont ordinarily use.
How are you doing with Davis? He is a freaking Strikeout machine for me.
Really? I think Davis might be my best player and I have Mantle/Sheffield/Walker on the squad

My hitting leaves a lot to be desired.
I only used him in the last event, quick counts did not help. He had a lot of 2 strike counts to start an at bat. -

Those 3 cards rake for me, Davis not so much. It really sucks.

Do not let the high prestige level fool you, I am prestige level 37 i am only an avg player if that. My team is stacked cause I been playing since launch. High Prestige just means people play the game a lot. When I see a WS banner I know I might get my [censored] kicked.

Sometimes I don’t want to put in the stress and the time for a RS game. In this event I get to use my normal squad and try out players, I think it’s great!

I like this event tbh
I played you this past weekend. Know you're a baller so I was pretty stoked just giving up a single bomb to Mantle. LOL
Hell yeah man. Cheers!
I played you about a week ago in events and you beat me on a walk off 2 Run bomb on a perfect perfect about a foot up and out of the strikezone with Kaline lol. Was a head shaker but GG man
-
It says this Event ends on 8/4. Will there be a part 2 or do I need to be at 100 wins by then to max out?

Kaline has been great for me. A lot of pop in that bat. I hit high stuff pretty well. Offspeed Low and inside, is my Achilles heel. Good game man.
Cheers to you too man!

So yeah, he is a k machine for me too.
113 Ks in 352 AB
By way of comparison
Mantle 27 K in 223 AB
Walker 20 K in 205 AB
Carter 55 K in 249 AB
Gregorius 48 K in 242 AB
Correa 37 K in 237 AB -

Then again I am a strikeout machine.Although, I did recently change my hitting camera and rolled it out for this event.
I gotta take more BP -

After grinding out 65 wins in Prime Time Event(s) I am finding it extremely hard to get motivated for this event.
It does not help that I do not like the current format either.
I think I played way too much over a short period of time and burned myself out.Does anyone else feel this way after an event grind?
I’m just tired of giving up 11/9 contact for homers. The ball is obviously out of the PCI, but yet they float just over the wall. 13/9’s are no good though.

I just need to hit mistake pitches better. That is my problem.
My mistakes get obliterated for Home runs.Their mistakes result in me hitting the most majestic foul ball HR's you have ever seen.

I hit their mistakes right into the ground. I don’t understand why SDS programmed pitching to be so difficult. It’s either a wide miss, down the middle, or a 11/9 contact for a homer. All these legend pitchers, but none of them can paint corners all game.
