What defensive position setting is there to prevent the 1st baseman from being pulled off to field the bunt and giving a free hit with nobody covering 1st because the pitcher just doesn't get there in time?
My other question relates to runners taking the extra lead. Sometimes not just one extra but 2 or 3. Now if they take one step I just hold L2 and press the base button but when they take the extra extra lead and I try the same thing it now brings up the throw meter and me not being ready for it, he throws wildly giving a free advance. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? One step off no problem but anymore and it brings up the throw meter. I don't get it.

You can change your defense to cover bunt and shift your 2b in. The other question i think your doing something wrong. I haven't had that issue

So I'd have to that for every batter? Because I have had power hitters lay this bunt down for success time and time again.
I do nothing different on a pickoff attempt than what I always do. Played a dude who took 3 or 4 steps off and when I went to throw over like always, the throw meter came up and the pitcher would throw wildly to first every time.

If they are taking that many steps just step off and then throw. Might give you a less messed yp throwing meter
