I'm no expert, but what I've heard is that live series will tank if there is a 75% collection for some end game card, which makes sense as peeps will need the stubs to complete the collection. Evidently trout dropped to 90k last year when the Honus collection went live.

Of course the card could suck and a collection may not be needed so there is always risk.
