Almost upvoted this until I saw your Mets avatar... sorry, man!
-
It’s brutal with him. Crusher today. Familia look good today
-
Silver? If he's lucky.
Once you lose the closer spot and you're just a regular reliever, your rating drops precipitously.

Matz threw a gem too. Let's be honest tho, Diaz was 1 strike/out away from us stroking him off too. Lol
-
We got rid of him just in time... thanks for Kelenic
-
He'll go to Houston and bounce back to be the best closer of all time

Both pitchers did. Fried was lights out, and 2 consecutive hits got the best of him. I was wondering if it would be very pitcher-positive baseball for the first two weeks of the season... and then I remembered watching part of the Cubs/Brewers game

He made a good pitch, Ozuna just got barrel on it the other way. I think Diaz will be fine this year. Strickland, on the other hand....

And then he’ll have a melt down and win a World Series with the Phillies.

Little bit of an instant reaction, eh?
If Nimmo - Mr. Point to the sky, but why? - doesn't swing at the first pitch, we walk that off yesterday.
And Jeff McNeil needs to be reminded that this is not rugby! If you watched y-day, you know what i mean. -
I also think Albies took a little bit of an exception to the hard slide Alonso made to end the game at second base. Dude was out by a mile, completely unnecessary aggressiveness on a play that didn’t require it. And this isn’t a knock on Alonso, he plays the game 110% on every play but he would’ve really felt bad if he had seriously injured Albies on that slide. Just an observation I made while watching that game.

Still need to bring those runners around. You could make the same statement about anybody swinging at the first pitch in any clutch situation. Had he homered you wouldn’t be questioning his decision to swing first pitch. This is why they are professionals and you’re just a fan. By the way, the pitch he swung at was a fastball down the middle. Seems like a perfectly reasonable pitch to swing at especially seeings that Luke Jacksons best pitch is a slider.

He’s talking about when it was tied in the 9th. Nimmo didn’t even bat in the 10th. Know what you’re talking about before you judge him like that.

Ok you’re right however what I said 100% applies to that same situation. He swung first pitch at a fastball right down the middle of the plate. Was probably going to be the best pitch he saw in that at bat. Like I said he’s a pro we’re just fans. If he hit a hr on that pitch you’re certainly not going to say that it was the wrong thing to do given the situation. It’s presumptive to say that the Mets would’ve walked it off had anything different been done. That’s my point. No judgment just a fact.

Man. He made a solid pitch too. Wasn't in the strike zone. Ozuna hit ball four over the right center field fence.
