What's the point of this event?

I don't get it? No restrictions? How is it an event? I was seriously hoping for a live series only event with a max team cap at 80. Make a real MLB team to celebrate real teams playing.
No let's just get the same team you've been using all year. So stupid. I don't understand the point of these.

To play short 3 inning games and receive rewards. Plus it's on All-Star so you can prestige some cards pretty easily

They have fully given in to the prestige grind

It’s for the prestige grind but you have the try hards that use starters that you can’t prestige or bring starters in instead of using bullpen. It’s a joke and on allstar anything can happen. It’s pitch and pray and hope the rng favors you

I always liked the events the best that made use of cards that you otherwise have absolutely no use for. Because there are a lot of cool ones. All those gold and low diamonds. Plus silver live series with a boost from insiders edge.
I know I'm in the minority. But I would kill for a "salary Cap" mode or some kind of hard cap on team overall.

I've been using it for Team Affinity innings. People probably laugh when I roll out silver or gold hitters. Yankees haven't been bad but the Orioles, ouch.

You can use any team you want use live series players if you want why complain about no restrictions.

but for me, because I like creating different teams everytime I do a new entry. + If I am working on a certain prestige, It's nice to be able to work on a variety of different types

I agree with you to an extent. I kinda like the idea of events that allows you to use cards that you normally won’t use on your ranked squad. But for a week or two it’s nice to face guys on AS and just grab some stats and a little prestige grind for your players if you’re into that sorta thing

I find the event unappealing.

I cannot hit in this event. I don’t know what it is. I changed Kontrol Freeks mid game yesterday and that helped. But I’m honestly perplexed at not being able to hit anything (at least as much as I usually hit).
And to answer OP, I’m using it to get certain stat missions done (not just prestige but TA missions). It’s nice to have 3 inning games to work on them and also not have to worry about losses affecting my record.

Simple...
Let's say the last event. It was Prime, Signature, FOTF, and like Bronze I think (purpose of Bronze being for folks who may not have enough or any prime/sigs or FOTF).
I'm totally cool with that or any other card series in any event. If an event is just all Bronzes, fine, I'm bringing my best Bronzes lol.
The part I don't like is the MAX OVRL team restrictions that force me to have to put Bronzes in my Bench or Pen (last event example) instead of me rolling out my best possible team to compete with every roster spot being a Prime, Signature or FOTF.
The only + side was I learned that Robbie Grossman is a Pinch Switch Hitting Bronze Stud!

I agree, it should of been a live series only event and it could be done in battle royal format, you get 4 diamonds, 8 golds etc. So there's no cap, but you will have to make sacrifices to make your lineup work.
On the other hand, I'm not going to complain to much, this is a fun event for me. I'm able to use all of my cards and get prestige stats without having to play 9 inning games.
