I still need to collect all of the high-priced guys except Trout so I need Bellinger, Verlander, Scherzer, Arrenado etc so no, I don't have Mantle and won't for awhile.

What players do you have? Just throwing out some possible names, would you be a Vidal Brujan tryhard? An Edwin Encarnacion tryhard? Aren't we all a -insert player name here- tryhard?

Why in the world wouldn't you use Mantle? He's a very difficult card to get so of course you should use him if you have him.

I thought everyone had Mantle a month ago. I bought the game in March and basically sold everything not bolted down. Due to half off packs and sellable FOTF I was finally able to get him a few days ago.

I don't. I probably could have if I had sold everything all year and put it into collections, but as it stands I have no emotional attachment to any of the three collection rewards and there are other cards almost as good that can be had for a fraction of the price.
Currently I would need every high diamond to do it, so I'm about a million stubs away. If I were to pull Trout I might think about it, but Im not spending a million stubs on a player I don’t really care about.

I mean its a yes and no from me. I have pulled 4 trouts, all but one of which were well after I completed the LS. I’ve had very good pack luck, but at the same time I’ve probably spent and entire LS collection on headliners. I’ve bought all 5 headliner packs every time but one or two and that adds up to a total of about 1.4 mil stubs in headliners. Most of the time people that say “I’ll never get Mantle” (something along those lines), they likely rip packs like a Meth addiction and say “I’m NMS” to hide that.

I'd love to see a metric that shows a REAL value of people that have Mantle but were NMS. It's gonna be well under 5%.
