I’m gonna give you a rematch dude relax. And I’ll give you respect if you win too. I don’t make excuses in competitive games I make excuses on allstar when I line out 40 balls and my opponent wins on late weak 0-2 counts he couldn’t track.

Why don’t we actually play on 19 @A_PerfectGame .. shippett July 1 pm legend difficulty, god squads, I’ll stream. No excuses with that
19 is a bad version of the game. I’d play you in it— It proves nothing about player skill though...not impressive if I win or vice versa. I’ll play you day 1 on 20
I think if you played Mitch, you may realise that skill will win out more often than you think. I haven't played him, but I watched the last stream that happened through this forum and he is a beast. My online win record is 61 percent and I realised after watching that stream that it doesn't deserve to be higher because I'm simply not that good.
Are there faults with this game? For sure. Should those faults mean that you lose a third of your games? No! That's why the guys at the top of the leaderboards are there, consistently.
Is there any point to obsessing over those faults? No, not at this point of the cycle when they are not going to change anything.
I have played him. And I’ve won. And he made excuses and had a million reasons and never followed through with the deal of posting the results and giving the opponent credit which is what we played for. His excuse was “I had the better team.”
And “you had a god squad”. But it’s not my job in a competitive game to pick my opponents team. I play to win.And btw. He also claimed that I was hitting oppo field homers and he was lining out. Ironic. Ain’t it?
Oh yeah a late hit hr with Ted Williams off my common pitcher congratulations
Stop with the common team fairy tale please. WHY would you had picked a common team in a competitive game?
Because I had never played 16 before and that was the only team I had. You were saying how 16 was the only good game and [censored] like that, so I knew it was the game u wanted to play
I gave you game choice bro.
After seeing u talk so much [censored] on the other games, I knew it wasn’t a good idea to play u on those games. pathetic that u lost 7-6 with the matchup we had. Play me tomorrow on 19 and I will mercy u within 4 innings

You’re no noob. You’re good in the game. But this version of the game is very random. I’ve seen chance take precedence more then skill on a ridiculous amount of games. Wins and losses. They took player skill more out of the game in the last two seasons then all of the other games...so to boast about your player skill not having played anything besides 18 and 19 is not that impressive.
That’s like br winners. Br is complete chance. Literally the skill on allstar is not there it’s totally random. You can smash 8, 9, 10 balls in a row and then get early swing by some scrub just swinging at everything until you make a mistake and foul off 20 balls. Those used to be strike outs. That was never a thing

I disagree. I think it’s more impressive to have a very good record on a more random game, because it shows that your skill level is high enough to overcome the bs in the game. Why do u think the top players are still at the top?

Actually a lot of the top players don’t play anymore because the game was that bad.
You haven’t even seen some of the players that played 10-12 years straight.

That's a bit of circular reasoning no? Anyone denying that is in denial? Isn't that already said by denying that once? If you deny something, aren't you in denial about it?

Even I've beaten Koogs. Was an event game but... I'm pretty average lol
But hey I've beaten mitch too. Played his God squad on legend last night, mercied him. Nyquil is a hell of a drug indeed!

And if they ever grab a clue and match make based on ping like they should be doing, most of the top players wouldn't be where they are. Maybe some day SDS will pull their head out and implement this. Would be fun to see the top players cry because they are no longer playing slow pitch softball.
You do realize a very small % of people (even with the Little Billy code) make the WS right?

There's been so much talk about connection influencing pitch speeds that I need to verify this independently. Will be using a wi-fi connection for a few games instead of the ethernet cord to see what changes - and if something does change, to what extent.

The players at the top never change their internet and SDS never changes the coding. Top players will continue to be top players until a ping based indicator and ping based match making is implemented. Then and only then will you tuly see has skill. This is why online tournaments are a joke. I can pretty much say with certainty that Mitch would probably beat me handily if we played right now. I can also say with certainty the result would be different if we were to play on the same lan line.
I know most of you online "Gods" don't want to believe ping plays a major role in online gaming but it does, both good and bad depending on how the gaming company addresses it. It is why Battlefield region locked servers several years ago and COD went to ping based match making this year.
If they went to ping based match making some people would actually see an increase in their record and performance while others would see a decrease.

This is just not true lmao. The top players that can consistently place the pci are still gonna be at the top regardless of the RNG.
Likewise, the players making excuses for poor performance, such as yourself, will still be average. And slow pitch softball? These speeds on legend are faster than mlb 16 and 17. Idk what ur on

How bout this. Since you’re saying it’s connection based, we should both play the cpu offline and see who puts up more runs. That would have nothing to do with ping and it would show that ur just not as skilled as you think you are. Cotw too.. why haven’t u won cotw? It’s not h2h. If you’re that good you should be able to put up a more impressive cotw score than me

That is impossible to do without knowing the ping speeds of the opponent. If both players are pinging 50, the game will be smooth, as intended and players should see the game exactly how the server sees it. If one is pinging 30 and the other is 130, their is going to be a disprepancy on what people are seeing on the server. Depending on how the code is but the majority of gamers have garbage internet. This is just a fact.
Now there is a chance I could be completely wrong and people like Rebel could be right next to the server and have low ping. I highly doubt it though. There is a sweet spot in the code for ping and more than likely your top players are sitting there. So they are seeing the game same as the servers. These are the times you see the ball in the PCI for okay contact, missed animations, balls you miss with the pci being good/good, etc. SDS could see this by seeing the ping time to the server from all the top players in the game. They have access to this information, I do not.

So you're saying that me using wi-fi compared to ethernet cord would not influence my ping at all as it's solely determined on my internet speed and my distance from the servers?
