I can barely make it 2 innings, the pitching is so dagum slow it's ridiculous not to mention the fielding is horrendous. I've never had more fun playing against the computer than I have with this game. I love baseball, been reading box scores since '84, I creamed my jeans when Nintendo came out with "Baseball Stars", I quit xbox for this game and man online is horrible. I had more fun with r.b.i. baseball online. Now I am having a lot of fun playing franchise and "Road to the Show" in those aspects r.b.i. isn't even on the radar I just cannot get over the horrendous online play, I guess I'm complaining because I'd rather play a human than a computer but the gameplay is so poor online if you aren't a vet at this game you truly don't stand a chance and what makes me even more upset is sds charges money for people to think buying a certain player(s) will make them better...I want to smack the [censored] out of the creators of this game, online play is garbage and predatory its disgusting. I've played madden ultimate team for several years and know how bad ea as a company is but despite the dda that is obviously in the game at least online play didn't/doesnt feel like a completely different game than vs the computer. sorry for the rant thanks for reading if ya did ya I get it "call a waaaaambulance" this garbage just irritates the [censored] out of me for the simple reason they have "loot boxes" so to speak-buying stubs=loot box in my eyes, I can't imagine how much money sds has robbed from people because said people truly think if they spend $20 for 24k stubs to buy Tony Gwynn or whomever will make them better the online game play is such garbage it doesn't matter who you have so I guess long story short- how in the heck do you online players tolerate the garbage gameplay and if anyone says there's no difference from online and vs the computer you are blind or work for sds. thanks.

The online has always been like this. Wired or wireless, it just is not as good as playing against the CPU or a friend locally. A lot of people that play online adjust and are okay with the lag. Some even exploit it. I rarely play online but I know going in that the experience won't be very good if I do decide to give ranked seasons or battle royale a go. I play mostly offline modes. I have really fast internet too but that doesn't matter.

Look I don't want to be this guy but you say pitches are so slow but you're batting .188... You say online play is so garbage and your record is 13-79, it's hard to take this rant seriously with that..

like I said I BARELY MAKE IT 2 INNINGS, so mr.common sense you should deduce that a ton of the losses are quits, i'm 43 it's my first year playing and I know compared to most of y'all I'm absolute garbage, my eyes still work so I could care less if you take my "rant" serious" or not I'm just making' a point. there is an obvious difference between online h2h and just playing the computer- even EA with all their garbage can at least make playing vs the computer and playing h2h feel the same.

lol, may not have been that hype but man it was awesome- the original rbi baseball was cool in that it had actual players but you could literally turn a simple hit to the outfield into an inside the park homer because it would take so long for any thrown ball to make it to its destination, it was funny even then. the original "baseball" game by Nintendo was actually better, I played a Commodore 64 game that was better than the original rbi baseball. baseball stars was cool because you could create players, make teams and play a 6 team full season, it was fun- rbi baseball simulator 1000 was pretty cool too despite the corniness. ahhh, the memories.

I'm 55 and it's my first year in The Show as well. I feel your pain and I use online play sparingly. A "win" for me, is making prestige stats progress. Save your health, keep your expectations of online play low.

I enjoy RS by not worrying about my record and I do team builds to work on TA. I'm not going to make WS so why stress my self out trying. I do team builds to see what damage I can do and use a wide range of cards I have worked hard to collect

I'm 49 and just getting better gradually, despite playing for years. Find a good league with people that will give you good advice and play full games. You don't learn anything from quitting.

I don't mind if I get mercy ruled if I'm having a bad day... I'll learn something from it, it happens.

I'm 47 and manage to stay above 500 winning percentage.

Find some kewl cats to play baseball with and enjoy the game like any other form of entertainment. Temper your expectations and just enjoy it as baseball.

Imagine if this platform was available when you were younger and enjoy being a kid again for the hour or so you play each day.

If you let ranked seasons get under your skin, I'd suggest playing Diablo III or something else.

    I haven't played RS since 2017.
It really does nothing for me, since there was no online h2h until NFL 2K, i believe, so i grew up playing VS. the A.I. I DO want to try this season, but my baserunning and PCI - dropping woes make me miss too many pitches.
I'm also too early on 85% of pitches since i got a monitor, so i know i'd go crazy leaving so many runs on the table in h2h.

The only online h2h i enjoy is EASHL in the NHL series.

No game is ever truly over even down by 5 or more part of baseball is finding patterns in your opponents approach both at the plate and on the mound but some times that takes 4 or 5 innings to get a handle on.

Once you figure it out you will start to win but like hungry mention if you fell you are defeated in the first 2 innings then maybe your issue is not the game but the understanding of how baseball works and the mental aspect of it the exist in real life and this game

I never once asked for any sympathy dude I just want to know how people have fun with h2h-it is HORRENDOUS that's why I quit not because I don't understand the game. you can't really "lab" this game because going from playing the computer to h2h is like going into a completely different game- EA has at least figured that out. So you can take your sympathy back to Australia dude and carry on.. It doesn't stress me out or make me mad and if I was worried about my record I wouldn't be 13-78 just every time I load up I'm seriously asking myself how do people honestly think h2h is fun. I don't know maybe those who don't see a problem with h2h are find with less than mediocre.

see you are still not GETTING IT

you think the game is horrendous because you play extremely poorly

get better, stop complaining, it is not attractive to be a whiner

the only thing that is "less than mediocre" is 1) your attitude 2) your gameplay performance 3) the fact that you come on here trying to tell everyone what you think is good and not good when in reality you have no idea how to play this game properly

Agree to disagree. Whenecer the opposing team brings in Rob Dibble on HOG, game is over for me.
