Best card/player at each postion

So who would YOU consider the best at each position in the game right now?
Give a brief reason why....pros/cons etc.

You can either do every position or just a particular position.

(Disclaimer, this is based on personal experience, not card stats or rating)

SP - Orel Hershiser, Kluber is still near the top, but I've seen him so much that it's not as imposing anymore, Hersh's sinker is so tough to square up.

RP - 97 Chapman - The results speak for themselves, 41.2 innings 1.08 ERA 0.67 WHIP, I've never had those type of numbers with any other pitcher

C. Prestige Posey - Truthfully, I haven't really found a catcher that stuck, but 99 Prestige Posey gets the nod here because he hits for a good average.

1B. 99 POTM Thames - (Disclaimer I have not used Ortiz), Great power bat and the reverse splits actually help him

2B. FS Vidal Brujan - This is the most loaded position imo, so many great cards, but Vidal Brujan gets the nod here, I've been using him since he came out, 500 at-bats later he is hitting .385 with 61 stolen bases in 65 attempts. (Special mentions given to Brian Roberts, Rod Carew, 97 HRD Cano, and Craig Biggio, (Like I said this position is loaded).

SS. Ernie Banks, another position that is loaded with great talent, but Banks power wins him the spot.

LF. 98 Lou Brock - If we are talking about primary positions here, this goes to Lou Brock, the man just has one of those swings along with 99 speed.

CF. 99 Mickey Mantle, no explanation needed.

RF - 99 Larry Walker, there are some heavy contenders like Tony Gwynn and Sheffield, but Walker does have the power that Gwynn lacks and the defense that Sheffield lacks.

Sp for me is Wood. He has been unhittable on AS
2b-cano. That swing is so smoooth and his fielding has been great. Just had a 2 homer game and his second homer to walk it off.
Cf-Dawson. Love his swing and defensive prowess.

Like this list. LF primary is a weak position. Waiting for 99 Henderson since he was my 2nd favorite player.

I do disagree with 2nd. I would rank Vidal 2nd as his all around game is great but that Cano card is ridiculous.

I have had a lot of success with Weiters at C. Would still say Posey overall but I like LH hitters much better.

Haven't tried Hershiser yet but my top pitchers are Kluber (obviously), Wood (might be the best stuff in the game just hard to control) and Mays. Also had success with Greinke.

Very good list, I agree with most of the players the only ones I have a different opinion on is 2nd base where I play 99 Jackie Robinson because his speed/contact and 80 power combination is too good to pass up for me because I love his swing. Also Catcher I would go Matt Wieters over Posey because of the switch hitting with 80+ power from both sides.

I hate facing Dibble but jave never used him.

Posey is tops at C
Jackie at 1b. Im not that good at same handed batting on HIF but I did ok with him.
Roberts at 2b.
I'd say Didi at SS
Torre at 3b. Started off terrible with him but he has done a 180.
Chipper at LF.
Belli in CF
Walker in RF

I would say as primary positions go, its a very good list. but for 2B I feel that Jrob/biggio both w amazing contact, speed, good defense and plays higher power numbers than their stats and if it weren't primaries I would say POTM Belli in left because of diamond d with prestige, a hose, and can hit for both power and average. also Ortiz is another solid option at first

Lol it's funny you say that, because my kid has the same argument with me. I personally can't STAND Wood's lack of control at the worst times, it seems like. Also, I'm a Met fan, so I want to love Leiter, but I just can't pitch with him. No idea why, but I just can't. Prestige Felix and Smoltz have been lights out for me though.

As far as Reggie in Left and Walker in Right...I tried that. Reggie was a DISASTER in LF for me.

Oh, I forgot to add but stick Biggio in here somewhere. I don't have him so I have never used him but the dude just crushes me in any mode. He is severely overpowered in this game. He hits bombs left and right but I don't believe he hit more than 26 homers in a season and ranks 739 overall in HR per at bats at 37.37 at bats for each homer.
