Man, I hope your right about those numbers, because if so, I already am at/above those numbers on each collection

    Bump for relevance

Obviously the FotF is different now due to stage 3 being released.

Prime and Awards will most likely be 20 of each

@CalisGW said in Honus requirements are...:

Didn’t play last year ,but I went back and checked his release date 7/25. Also checked how many of each set was required for vouchers and how many were available at that time he was released. Luckily card discovery date is awesome to figure out exactly how many were out. ( sig series was time consuming.

Basically SDS did 75% of each set requirement rounded. Held true for all sets.

Here my best guess at what will be needed

    Rookie 30/38
    Breakout 25/34
    All star 30/38
    Veteran 25/32
    Post Season 15/22
Awards/Hardware 15/24. If we get 3 more I believe this will change to 20
    Sig Series 10/14
    Prime 15/24

Maybe collection? Which would explain why they made them sellable ... FoF. 45/60

Future Stars maybe ? Can’t be 30 because we have a completion for that already and SDS always goes up. Maybe 32/40?

Might be a dumb question, but is this based on those cards already being added to collections and locked in currently or not?

Ah! Appreciate your insight. Almost done with the Mantle grind. Should I be holding onto my Gold Duplicates or selling now? I'm for sure holding onto my Diamond duplicates.

If the OP is right then I have enough of everything except FOTF and future stars. I put those off until last so I could get the cards that require stubs first. That way I dont have to deal with the craziness of the market when the price of everything skyrockets. I'll just grind and earn them all the hard way.

The zig collection was the hardest to complete but it also throws the percentages off cause it requires 60 out of 160 sigs

I'd be really surprised if all 60 fotf aren't needed. they're free cards really.

At time of release of the Honus , there was only around 80 signature cards. Rest came later

There are 60 cards in the FOTF set but you think they would set the amount needed for other collections at 15 and 10. LOL. FOTF will most def be part of collection.

Why do people think that the players league cards and home run derby cards wont be a part of this? Is it because there are a smaller amount, or did they not have small collections as part of the Honus collection last year?

It’s because they are cards that have their own card reward ie Franco and Griffey

They didn't make TA3 FotF cards sellable for them not to be part of any Honus collection. You won't need all of them but you'll need a good chunk of them.

I dont think prospects will be a requirement because they never added the newer prospect cards to part of the current collection or used the lower tiered gold prospects as part of the Prospect collection. They have been adding the Future Star cards, Awards, Sig, etc.

My guess no Prospect cards, HR Derby, POTM, or Players League.

Honus was very easy to obtain last year. I doubt as many people will get him this year due to being unable to quick sell. IIRC, SDS released a lot of Sig cards just before the Honus collection was available and most, if not all those Sig cards were lower level and selling for around 6k which made it very easy to recoup most of what was spent by quick selling.
SDS doesn't want to exclude anyone if possible, so unlike the Pepe Alazar days, everything that will be needed players will be able to purchase.

I did get him last year but won't this year because of the non quick sell as you say, plus the fact that i don't think he's a beast. He's god in defense and speed but i didn't like his bat.
