I’ve usually stuck mostly to playing all-star when playing online because I don’t play enough ranked to get out of that level, I play BR occasionally and have usually stuck to all-star events. In the past, a lot of it was because fastballs were too fast and PCIs were too tiny. I wasn’t good enough to compete. I got a monitor recently and I’m sure that makes a difference. I’m early on everything now on all-star.

Anyways, why I mention this is that I’ve heard the past few years talk about “all-star hell” and how the game plays better on HOF. After playing some event today, I think I might have to agree. It seems a bit crisper on HOF. It seems like you get rewarded a bit better for decent PCI placement. Maybe this is the monitor talking or maybe I just had an decent night, but this event seemed like it played OK.

I’ve mentioned in another post how yesterday I played some ranked and BR and couldn’t get any decent exit velos. Didn’t feel that same thing tonight in the event.

Fastballs were certainly fast but I could hit it if I was ready. (Though Mo and Dibble carved right through me. Dang they seem pretty good).

Anyway, just thought I’d mention and see what others think. I’ve avoided HOF in the past because I felt like I couldn’t compete due to fastballs and PCI size. But tonight it sure seemed like that level played decently overall.

It's not HOF? I thought it was. I did hear someone mention that fastballs are slower on the event.

HOF or not, I agree with you that the game play is much better in Events. I don't hit for as much power, but seem to get more hits and the abilty to fight off pitches in the events.
