Reds are still going to finish 3rd in the division this year. Cardinals and Cubs will be 1st or 2nd, Reds will be 3rd, Brewers will be 4th, and Pirates dead last.
I hope you genuinely have a good time at the game though, I went up there for the first time last year and it was a great atmosphere.
Lol I think the Cubs finish 3rd behind us and the cardinals (biased opinion)
It’ll be a great race and looking forward to see how it unfolds
At least we can all laugh at the Pirates together this year.

Hahaha yessir. That, we can agree on

Btw treat Castellanos well. He was a monster for the Cubs after they acquired him last year. I personally am going to miss him on the Cubs and wish they could have brought him back.
-
Enjoy it, man!! This will be my fourth year in a row going to the Yankees home opener. Can’t wait for the season to start!

I honestly think as long as we are winning and make a decent postseason run, he’ll stick around as Reds fans and Cincinnati as a city loves and supports the sh!t out of the team.....when we’re competing lol
I’m from Louisville so also a pretty big reds market only being a little over an hour away

He’s a 2 fWAR player at best lmao. If anybody thinks he’ll come even close to doing what he did for a month with the Cubs, for a full year, is insane. He wasn’t worth a big contract.

I think he will rake in GABP (again, biased opinion).
But he’s been a consistent hitter for the past 3 years and improved each year....
Just sounds like you’re a touch salty for him being with your inner division rival lol
I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t produce

Not salty at all. He only finished with a 121 wRC+ last year and 2.8 fWAR. Even after his monster streak with the cubs, that’s all he could muster. I think the reds were smart for doing a one year deal, because he just isn’t worth a 5-6 year deal.
If you remove his August of 2019, he would finish the year with a 105 wRC+. He will not replicate 179 wRC+ for a full season, or even close to it. His ceiling is 130, which isn’t bad by any means, but isn’t amazing when you can’t play defense to save your life.

Agree on the contract terms, low risk high reward
I still think he shines in the hitter friendly ballpark of GABP

He reminds me a bit of Manny Ramirez, just going oppo like Manny did for Manny, manny years

Don't need OF defense in GABP.

Just got PTO approved from work and my buddy and I just purchased Opening Day tickets for the Reds game!
So excited as I’ve never been to Opening Day before and Cincinnati throws a huge parade for the game and I’ve heard nothing but great things about the experience!
Found tickets in pretty good seats for a little over $100 a piece and I’m already counting down the days to March 26th!
Go Reds baby! 2020 NL Central Champs
Money well spent. Enjoy man!
-
I only been to one Dodgers opening day, Tickets are hard to get and if you do not get them from the stadium they sky rocket.

Now that my kids are all adults, the wife and I have started to go on baseball roadtrips. This years is New York for both teams, Washington & Baltimore.

This is awesome. I hope to do this some day myself when my kids are a little older. I tell myself that I won’t mind if my kids aren’t great baseball players, but I hope they love watching baseball. That way I can use them as an excuse for going to different stadiums.
