I am not sure if there is a way to check his stats for me without being at my PS4, but I think I have used him once or twice in RS and did well enough with him. Really need to work the pitch mix and stay ahead in counts, because he doesn't have a pitch to easily come back against a batter. Give him a shot, see how it goes.
Checked and found at least 1 game that I pitched with him. He was solid till the 5th inning, gave up 2 Runs. He stayed in till the 7th, where he gave up 3 runs. I should have removed him after the Solo home run to Belli at the start of the 7th, but I obviously thought I could get through it.
Won the game in the end and Cueto got the W!

I could try him out in the event. I just don’t want to pitch him in ranked until I see he is good

I am a fan of using some of the lesser used cards, because often your opponent won't know what to expect. Gotta live on the corners, and get ahead in the count early. Again, I think its fun using some guys like Cueto and luckily he has 5 pitches to get after it with.

So I am home and checked my stats. 14.2 innings, 10 K's. 2 Wins. 6.75 ERA... YIKES but WHIP is 0.89
3 Games Started. 2 Wins.
11 Earned Runs given up, and 7 HR....So judging by this, it is worse than I thought, but this is mostly at All Star in Ranked Seasons. I am still a fan, but short leash. As my comment above mentioned, he gave up a lot of runs at the start of the 7th inning of one game. @olivegarden2

Clarke Schmidt has been getting rocked so I could potentially replace him but that 7k is nice as well...Mantle is 300k away and every stub makes a difference!
-
I just faced Schmidt and rocked him for 5 in the 1st... So i believe you that he is struggling lol
-
His Slider hangs, but if you learn how to minimize his flaws, he can be a good #5 due to his excellent cutter/change and delivery.

He has been hit or miss, command on off speed is bad. My top 3 are Kluber, Lodolo, and Orel. I was looking for a 4th and might wait for Maddux but Cueto is an option
-
I've used Cueto in this event and he's been lights out and I've been using him against some good players too, 2.70 ERA thru 25 innings. Might be a bit more hittable on All-star but everybody is. Sneaky good for 8k.
-
I'm not a good hitter, and a 600 player, but i love seeing Cueto on the mound, i hit him pretty easily. Good thing i live near Cincinnati, a lot of Reds fans using him.

Yah, gotta keep it on the outskirts of the zone and get ahead, to get the best out of him. Slider is his worst pitch but can work well with the other off-speed if you're doing well.

How many breadsticks can I get for 7k, breadstick

I actually like Cueto. If you can mix his pitches you can easily keep your opponent off the board. I pitched 5 innings with him had 7ks and one hit.
-
I'd rep Johnny regardless of how his card was, and compared to other SPs it's not the best, but if you mix it up with him he's more than capable of getting guys out.

He could potentially be my long reliever. Anyone that used him is he any good? Or should I just sell him?
Don’t sell him now...if a big collection hits, and prime cards are necessary (likely), his price will shoot up.
Use him now and see if you like him. If you don’t, sell him when Honus (or whoever) drops.

As many as you want...well we are only open for takeout

My experience is that he is trash.
-
Who is a good 5th starter? I was thinking about Cueto or Blue and use them as long relievers.
-
He's one of the better cheap starters I've used this year. In fact, the only other cheap SP I'd take over him is probably Vida Blue.
But then again, I'm not a World Series/HOF difficulty-level player.
