I have Smoltz as my ace, now 99 Maddux?
I still won't forgive SDS for what they did to Glavine with that 95. Didn't even let him have an open casket funeral.

As you know, Spencer Howard, Sixto Sanchez, and Dustin May are all much better than Glavine.
In all seriousness, it hurts me as a Braves fan to see Kyle Wright have a card anywhere near Glavine’s signature series.

Assuming this is accurate, I'm torn between maddux and rollins as my pick. If the rollins card looks better than my current starter larkin then i'll probably pick him. I'll be surprised if the musial card is good enough to justify benching sheffield, mantle or walker so he'll most likely be a bench bat at best. I plan to get all three eventually, but that's my thinking initially.

At first thought Maddox doesnt seem to have the pitches and velocity that translate in game. His best season he threw a fb at 93. But averaged around 90 most of his career until the end when he maxed out in the high 80s. But i am sure they will give him a 95mph sinker and he will be just fine lol. Thats what they do to everyone else. But his primary better be that nasty 2 seamer.
Honestly for him they need to create a new outlier but for break. Have his break on that 2 seamer go past 99.

We all know is primary will be a sinker and not a 2 seamer.
What would be crazy is if he has both lol. Because he didnt have a traditional sinker pitch. he threw a 2 seamer that had so much movement at times it could be mistaken for a sinker 2 Seamer, circle change, cut Fb, and curve.
