I know many of you already know this, but I figured I'd try it out anyway.

So, I've read posts about the benefits of Showdown vs. MTO for affinity points. Here's some actual math:

    1. March to October - I played with the Red Sox on Veteran, and timed everything. It took me a total of 8 1/2 hours - I never would have guessed that long. Both the ALCS and WS took an hour an 15 minutes each, and I swept both. I earned 52 total points, which means it took about 9 1/2 minutes to earn each point.

    2. Showdown - took me 1 hour and 45 minutes, start to finish. I earned 20 points, which means it took about 5 1/2 minutes to earn a point.

So, even if you only succeed in Showdown 60% of the time, you'd earn more points for your time spent than in MTO.

Let me know if you think my math is off - thanks!

I prefer showdown although very repetitive because I think mto is super boring. Thanks for the math tho!

The math makes sense but the other main thing is the XP/Stubs and packs you get from showdown add to the overall value

I can only do MTO with teams I enjoy using. Showdown at least doesn't limit you to very crappy teams. I would hate to try doing a MTO with the Jays, Royals, or god forbid the red sox...
