Most Brutal Showdown Experience

Well I just lost my first showdown in a while and it was my first go at the TA3 West. Went in to the final showdown against Orel down 10-15 and lost 12-15... I wasn't paying much attention until there was about 10 outs left but I still couldn't avoid grounding into a double play every other batter. He's gonna be a pain in my [censored] no matter what difficulty they set it to.

As soon as I get a runner on first in Showdowns, I move my PCI starting point from upper middle to lower middle just to try and get under almost everything.

Losing on final showdown is soul crushing. I lost one today down 8-15, with zero hits, but 17 warning track outs, and having the pitcher throw over 150 pitches
Yeah it was my fault for trying to multitask with Netflix and Hershiser, but I should’ve known it was gonna be an issue after he carved me up in the side mission.
-
I tried the East last night and every single time I had a guy on first the next batter hit into a double play. I think it was like 5-6 times.

Your level of frustration must have been through the roof.
I had a similar expierence, with FS Zach Brown from the Brewers. I have gotten very good at showdown, to the point that I usually beat it every time, EXCEPT for Mr. Brown. Two times I went in to the Final down 11-15 and each time I was unable to beat him.The Brewers become superhuman fielders and Christian Yelich rediscovers his Gold Glove form. The last one was especially frustrating as I had 5 Diamond players and 3 Diamond perks but Mr. Brown and his junk got me in the end. It was all either a warning track shot or an amazing play in the outfield.
Showdown would not be so frustrating if it was not the all or nothing rewards.
Then again, this adds extra "pressure" (it is a video game afterall) to the final. -
I got Catfish Hunter as the final boss the one time I've tried the west. That one was easy.
-
My first time with Stage 3, i went into Wood tied 15-15 and it took me 10 outs.

I lost inning 5 last night and Mo threw 72 pitches... What closer in real life can still throw effective after 72 pitches???

I would’ve been happy with facing Marichal or Catfish, but Hershiser was miserable.

I faced Mo down 0-15 and got him up to around 140 pitches before losing 15-15.
