Walker vs Ortiz
-
Coming up on 300 stars and as a diehard Sox fan, it's a given that I should take Papi, but after two showdowns in which I was within 2 runs of winning (both with bases loaded...ouch), I can say Papi hasn't been a factor for me. I don't know if it's because I'm playing the CPU or maybe I'm just not used to him yet, but it's made me consider possibly taking Walker. For those who have either or even both, how have they been playing for you? They both look amazing and I'm considering getting all 3 bosses anyway, but if Walker is a slamdunk over Papi, then I may just get him and roll with Belly at first.

I didnt think Papi was that much of an improvement over Thames at 1B. Walker is a 5 tool player. I honestly will start him over Prestige Reggie, mostly because of his fielding. As a Reds Fan i can't bench Davis and no way Mantle is going to Bench.

Walker is the second best position player in the game. Papi is one of the better first basemen released just this week in an already loaded position.
-
Walker or Mo is the pick at 300. A lot of depth at 1st base where you don’t have to worry about have as good of a fielder.
-
Thome is very comparable to Papi and is much cheaper, if not free if you don’t use exchanges. His swing is amazing too.
I think with all the amazing position players available Rivera is the #1 pick. Then if you decide to do the voucher pick up the other two.

Walker is incredible
-
walker is the second best outfielder in the game with arguments being made for eric davis and george springer. If you aren't selling him then walker is the pick. Get thome for free or kill,

Ortiz is fine, but not great. POTM Bellinger is a better choice (and free) however I believe Bellinger is better suited for an outfield position. Gold fielding (diamond when prestiged) and a 99 arm seems like a no brainer to me - especially if you have 99 Jackie because he is a solid option at 1.
Walker is pretty great and as a bonus he's an entirely new card. However the outfield always gets crowded. He's super solid all around and one of the top 3 options for an outfielder in the game right now, but that will change as more 99s emerge.
Mo is arguably the best reliever in the game. I believe him to be the best choice.

I took Ortiz and don’t regret it. I also bought walker and don’t regret that either

I got all 3 and walker is the pick. 2 behind mantle. Thome cheap to put at first.
-
I like this topic.
-
Choose either one and just buy the other
-
I picked walker then bought the other two, but i really should have picked ortiz first He absolutely destroys the ball.
-
In my 5th inning showdown run Ortiz did nothing but pop out on balls that looked like a perfect/perfect flyball
-
overloaded OF, Shitty slug 1b or the GOAT closer with a change and sinker
-
Papi is amazing
-
Walker rakes and is elite in the field.
-
The Walker and Mo card look great, but Papi is an amazing card and I have zero regrets getting him. His D is just fine. And as a lifelong Sox fan, I needed this card. It's part of playing this game. Get players you have a connection with and just have fun.

In 7 games I have 8 hits...2 doubles...2 homeruns...7 rbi batting .444 and robbed a homerun so for a right fielder I'm sold on him so far
