Not that I agree with the premise, but HDR has nothing to do with how the game plays.

Generally it would improve the colors and lighting in a game. Which in turn could possibly cause a drop in frame since you would have to be in 4K mode. With this game being so dependent on timing Windows, I would recommend not using HDR and putting your game in performance mode

Performance mode? What does that do? Is that the same thing as gaming mode?

Do you have a PS4 Pro? Only the PS4 Pro can produce HDR on the TV

Then you can’t utilize the HDR on your TV. Only the PS4 Pro can do 4K and HDR

If you have a PS4 Pro you can go in the game options and change it to performance mode. It lowers the graphics slightly but increases the frame rate and makes the game run smoother

That actually isn't true. While you're right in that only the PS4 pro can play 4K content, both PS4 models do HDR. I have a standard PS4 and I use HDR for all my games.

I just had issues with lag, I changed my input setting to HDMI 2.0 and turned my audio settings from auto to Dolby digital and the lag went away, good luck!
