Legends..

I heard someone say that they will not be introducing any new legends in the game this year. Does anyone if this is true? TBH, I thought these reveals were very underwhelming. Especially if there aren’t going to be any new legends. Not one of these 30 will replace anyone in my lineup.
-
Ur saying that 98 Herscheiser wouldn't replace one person in ur starting rotation, I highly doubt that
-
^^^ Guy bitter that Marichal is his teams FotF...
-
What? There have been a ton of new legends this year?
-
We have several new legends in the TA and a new legend that wasn't on the release day roster for a program boss.

Jim Thome is underwhelming?
What would you consider an exciting new legend and dont say Bonds cause it will never happen he never wanted to be in MLB games when he was actually playing

I am too. Considering a NEW legend from the 2000s that helped them win 3 world series could have been an option.

You named one out of 30 lol. Yeah, Thome is great. Now, you tell me what’s exciting about going from a diamond Fred McGriff (ATL) to a diamond Fred McGriff (RAYS). If there aren’t going to be be legends at all, going from a diamond to another diamond of the same card is silly to me. I would rather take a low diamond of a new player than a higher diamond of a card I already have.

Not every card is going to be some exciting player, there is going to be good cards, bad cards, and in the middle cards.
I could sit here and list 10 good cards, you could sit here and list 10 meh cards.
Expecting them all to be amazing is silly.
-
That’s not what I was saying. I don’t need the card to be some end game card, just not another of the same. There THREE diamond John Smoltz cards. I mean c’mon.

Ok, if you want to go that route.
cards that already have a diamond in-game and got a TA
John Smoltz
Kerry Wood (but diamond is a reliever card, this is a starter)
Dwight Evans (Other diamond is BR reward, so most people wouldn't have it.)
Tony Gwynn
Andre Dawson (Other is a low diamond that no one uses)
Jeff Bagwell
Al Kaline (again low diamond no one uses)So that's only 7 teams that "repeated" diamonds
23 of them are cards we didn't have diamonds of yet.
So the vast majority are new.

Thats a bad example because the rays quite literally have no other options than McGriff. Hershiser, Thome, Smoltz, Brett, Killebrew, Evans, Davis, Schmidt, Leiter, Dawson, and even Henke look like fun and exciting cards to try out. This whole “I already have the collections done and all the inning bosses” mindset that you have isn’t the way to look at this. If you don’t want the cards don’t use them. Most of us like trying out new cards. Using the same cards for months on end is boring
-
Nomar, Pedro, Schilling, Rice, Fisk, Manny, Papelbon, Lester, Youkilis... I mean event Varitek. Instead, they release a Diamond version of a Diamond version Dwight Evans card. That’s ridiculous.

They can't just get unlimited rights to players, that's not how it works.

The Rays could have used the inspiration for "The Rookie", middle reliever Jim Morris...
Ya... They had no option....Aubrey Huff?

Carl Crawford

But Smoltz (88 OVR) isn’t useable in RS. This is an influx of making cards we’ve had before, usable for competitive play. Also gives a ton of different options. If you have the low diamond McGriff, maybe instead of getting his higher diamond you give Thome or Killebrew a shot.
There are also a lot of people who play this game that don’t need end game players. They just want to play with players they’re a fan of or fan of the team the played for.
Thome and Henke (looks solid but haven’t used him yet) are pretty solid new additions to the game in late June.
Also Dawson, Davis, Hershiser, Brett, Schmidt, all look very good and could easily start for a lot of teams. Are they no doubt end game starters? Probably not but still very useable.

Every single boss for the current inning program is a new legend lmao ... what are we talking about here ?
