So I have a 4K tv, and It has about 10ms delay. My question is that i was told even tho it’s 4K, to set my tv to 1080p, hdr off, and put the game resolution to faster. Is this the correct info to get the best FPS and least amount of input lag.

Your tv might have different input lags for 1080p and 4k. Which does your tv handle better? Running the game on 4k on sharper, the frame rate gets choppy. If you set it to faster but keep everything else on 4k, I’m not sure what’s exactly happening. I think to actually run the game at 1080p, you need to switch the resolution on your PS4 pro to 1080p.

That’s what I’m asking. So I can set my tv on 4K or 1080 with no problems. It has the the same ms on 1080 or 4K. What I’m hearing is the game runs better on 1080 and faster resolution as far as input lag and fps. If I have my TV set to 4K, should I still set it to faster? And will the game still play at 60fps? Or does the tv need to be set to 1080 and game on faster to have 60fps and less input lag. So I guess my question is will the game still play at 60fps on 4K or does it need to be on 1080p and faster. I see in the user setting the game says 1080p faster is the right settings. Hope I’m making sense.

Do yourself a favor and play on 780 with less FPS. You’ll thank me later.

Lowering the resolution increases frame rates and therefore the game will play less "choppy" and more fluid. I would always set the game on "faster", as this will run the game at 60fps instead of 30fps, that's a noticable difference. As far as input lag is concerned, that differs per panel. I'm sure you can Google an information sheet of your TV somewhere where all resolutions and corresponding input lag times are summarized. Try Rtings for example.

What I’m trying to do is not have the game or my tv have to upscale or downscale. I’ve heard that mlb is not a native 4K, therefore running your console and tv at 1080 helps with any input lag. I don’t know if that’s true tho. I think of your tv can run 4K just fine and put the game on faster would be the best option.

PS4 pro can’t do 4k at 60fps with this game. I would set the pro to 1080p. Your tv shouldn’t try to upscale it, if you set it there. But check the display resolution to see if it does. When I just changed the resolution on the game to faster, and didn’t change it on the pro, my tv still displayed the image at 4k.

Thank you. That’s what I thought. So to maximize FPS,console and tv should be 1080 and the game should be set to faster. Thanks
