Hardest Showdown Of All Time
-
I lost 15-12, got picked off three times( Not sure how, I don’t have cpu controlling my running), worked 3 walks only to hit into double plays, two were perfect/perfects that the first baseman decided he could leap 15ft in the air and make a tag all in one motion, and the Rivera’s confidence got full, so anything I hit was a line out, my favorite was a perfect/perfect with Larry Walker that turned into an easy 313ft lazy fly ball to Reggie Jackson... So I feel you, was just about to ask if anyone else had a terrible round of RNG.
-
Was hella easy. He basically pitches to one spot and tires easy.
If you having a hard time. I suggest RBI baseball
-
It’s a absolutely a joke. Squaring up pitch after pitch from mission 6 to the end results in an out? No way.
-
I was late on everything. Had to score 4 runs and scored 2.
-
I'm probably the worst hitter out of all of you and I beat it on my first try.
Although, I will say that I got crazy luck when it came to drafting players in this one. I ended up with a lineup of:
C : Christian Vasquez & Carson Kelly
1B: Matt Olson & Frank Thomas (84)
2B: Gleybar Torres (LS)
SS: Jonathan Villar
3B: Bobby Dalbec (FS)
LF: Cliff Floyd**
CF: Mickey Mantle (99) & Bryan Reynolds (He came up BIG like 3-4 times)
RF: Larry Walker & J.D. MartinezPitchers I Used:
Colin Poche (Silver, LHP from TB Rays)
Alec Hanson (Common, former White Sox prospect with good 5-pitch mix)
Austen Davis (Common, LHP from Phillies)
...and I can't even remember if I used my actual SP the entire time (I don't think so)Tips:
-
Take pitches against Mariano Rivera. Remember, he's a relief pitcher. His stamina is going to start to get brutally low once he hits about 40 pitches. Just survive with enough outs until then and I promise you'll beat him.
-
Remember to look at each challenge AND THEN set your Perks. For example, if it says you're starting in the 8th inning, you know to use a perk like Spark-Plug where you make better contact in and after the 7th inning. This will save your life.
-
Personally, I always switch to Directional for Showdowns. It makes it 100x easier for me, for some reason.
-
Don't draft more than one reliever and starter. I didn't even use my starting pitcher but maybe you will. I'm not certain that they have more challenges.
-
In my experiences, I've had the most success with the Defibrillator perks; silver gives you a contact boost in even counts (0-0, 1-1, 2-2); gold gives you a contact boost when you are behind in the count (love this one); and the diamond gives you a huge contact boost when you have two strikes. The diamond one is great for a number of reasons, not only can you basically put the controller down until you have 2 strikes but once you do, you can pretty much foul ANYTHING off which is going to raise the pitch count even higher!
-
I'm also a big fan of the perks that affect exit velocity. In combination with ones that give you a contact boost, you can straight wreck these final bosses.

Yeah for me he was already in yellow by pitch 30. Just wait for that cutter uppper/middle get a good piece and its gone
-
-
Put all lefties in unless you have an awesome righty like j d Martinez or gleyber Torres. Do not swing at anything until there is two strikes he gets tired by pitch 30 or 40. He will walk or hit a couple of your batters guaranteed. by pitch 60 if he throws a strike it's literally right down the middle. do not chase the ball and do not get greedy always wait for two strikes. His stamina and confidence will drop.
-
I’ll probably beat on my second try, I had the worst luck I’ve ever had, I can beat stage two by skipping to the end, so it was more frustrating for me that I could win with 12 runs... But hey. It’s only a game, there is always tomorrow and I know l need to have to worst possible luck imaginable to loose so.
-
This is an easier one, guys. Trust me. You all can do this if you just don't rush it or "press" at the plate.
-
Got it done in about 30 mins or so. It was probably the easiest one I’ve done. Got to the final showdown 15-15. Got a single to start and bunted him over. Just worked the base runner around to score. Very easy this time imo
-
It’s not easy or hard just random so don’t worry if you need a few attempts. I breezed through it first try and twice now from 0-15 with okay players and have also failed twice starting the same final boss 9-15 and 10-15 with monster lefties and diamonds quirks.
It’s a shame but you can easily start a showdown with 7 straight outs doing very little wrong, at the same time you can finish 7/7 and score a few runs to win as well. Just make sure you grind it till the final out or you’ll leave wins on the table.
-
Not exactly related but did they patch the SZ view seems you have more field of view and you can't really move your pci much out of the SZ either or am I making this up?

It's complete luck, so you had good luck, and that's great! I watched a top 50 player fail it three times last night on stream, and I promise, you aren't better than him, so go easy on folks around here.
-
I went in 15-10 and my first 15 guys got out, his confidence was maxed and I thought this was a lost cause.....than went on to win it on my last out...
-
Hit hr 1st AB 4 RS required blew it needed 2 yes it's harder still easy though just suck atm
-
I went in down 15-11. First few batters were out and then I got going. Won with 14 outs left I think. But that cutter does move a heck of a lot.

Is rbi baseball where you picked up your directional skillzzz? Idk how it works over there .. I’ve never played the game.

Absolutely nothing , i might might cry today!

Cheat one square over and down with the PCI. The cutter moves more than you think it will and you got to stay inside of it. He'll throw them up and away or belt high inside.
