Test Server? Good Idea/Bad Idea
-
Just wondering how you guys would feel if the show had a seperate server for testing patches, adjustments to gameplay etc etc.
To be fair I don't know how this would effect the main servers or if they even have the resources to do it or if it would even be worth it for a game with a yearly release. But I feel something like this would really help not only the devs but the community as well.

Ya that would be awesome.

I've been asking for this for over 4 years. Public Test Realm. No xp progress. No rewards. No free stuff.
I'd still do it just to make sure stuff works properly.

@j9milz Your post highlights and exemplifies the toxicity and immaturity in this forum.
You legitimately posed a terrific question that garnered zero response from the serial posters or forum mods.
It’s kind of sad.

Haha it is what is man. I know i do have my complaints and don't mind sharing them as many know already. But I do try to offer and bring some positive construction and feedback as well when I can.

I don't want to rain on the parade, but I've posted this on TSN and the beta forums for years. In addition, I've communicated with them on this via email and advised them of my decades of testing done for games like Diablo, EverQuest, Star Wars galaxies as well as being part of the development group for Strat-o-matic online.
"Thanks for the offer to help" is the most I've received. It's a culture thing. Maybe generational. Maybe a mandate from the boss to keep everything behind a curtain.
It's a absolute shame they don't have a PTR or even a closed group that signs an NDA.

You're not raining on my parade man, its cool. When I feel like I can provide something useful I post, whether it gets feed back or not doesn't really bother me. I was just responding to the his reply which holds a valid point. That people complain about all the complaint posts but when someone, (whether thats you,, me or anybody else) actually post something constructive it very rarely gets attention that the complaining and the complaining about complainers post do.
