My concern with the Show

I would love to play a game that wasn't pre-determined who was going to win. Its obvious when both squads are getting "good" swing timings and squaring up balls that one team doesn't get the hits to drop and the other does. It works in my favor some games and against me as well. Really, really, really takes away from the game.

I’ve been playing event games and it just is so frustrating knowing your going to lose. You try to power through it but it’s just to try and get stats for prestige cards.
-
I wasn't a big complainer but man this game has massive issues. Pitching and Fielding are so broke. I just wonder why people get mad when you bring up these issues.

A lot of the people who defend it don’t play online. They don’t deal with the issues that online play brings. But it’s a broken mess that they use content to try and hide it -
I admit it's frustrating, but the best players still seem to be the best players.

They have like 90% win rates and insane averages. Normal players have no shot against them.

I had 3 perfect/perfect hits in one game but not one fell for a hit. The next game I have early homers. I agree that it is way to random and frustrates the SSS out of you
-
I just lost an event game, two homeruns my opponent hit were off the plate and his good okays were rewarded. My good goods or good squared were just weak liners. I scored on perfect perfect hits. But like I said I grind for stats that’s why I won’t quit

Well it seems whenever someone brings up valid complaints the game, the thread just dies or SDS defenders flame the person (granted some complainers are trolls). This is the only game I have ever seen that level of defending.
-
The players who are the best still win a very high % of the time! But it is true there are games u out pitch and out hit your opponent and sometimes it can be 1 or 2 lucky hits that go your way and a bunch goes against u! But for most part the better team will come out after 9 innings!!!
-
The game seems fine. It plays real well. Most people complain, because they lose . Get better or find another game I guess.
-
Yeah because you control lag and fielding bugs. Come on man. They know it's broke.

That's bc SDS has shills and plants on this board, they quickly deleted an article I posted that exposed the ability for corporate to buff pull rates for streamers/influencers. Never seen a post pulled so fast. And to the OP's point yes it's maddening when the CPU/AI determines when a good swing is either a HR/hard liner or just a pop up/weak grounder, skills be damned.
There is no way that a good swing with a meat ball down the middle of the plate with the Jacksons, Trouts, Mantles of the game should be anything other than nuked to Mars

Doesn't this happen in real life baseball?

Honestly, they need to actually just trust that baseball is an exciting game and stop manufacturing the excitement with the "randomness" baked into every element of the game. If I do my bit well, give me good results, if I do it poorly, punish me. Not that complicated. The way it is right now is just frustrating, it not only makes failing annoying but it cheapens wins by you knowing that it wasn't really all you. A huge comeback should feel great, but on this it just feels like the game let you do it

The problem is the people who consistently do poorly will abandon whichever mode they are playing if they are punished for their lack of skill.
By throwing every player into the same pool regardless of skill (Ranked Seasons, Events), the only way to compensate for the differences in skill matchups is for the game itself to balance things out to keep both players playing. This works for majority (who are not on forums voicing their disgust).
For the record, if that's indeed what happens, I'm 95% against it.

As I look at my hilariously bad online win-loss record. I cant help but stop and ask myself: if results are pre-determined, why does SDS hate me so much? Lol
