Is something wrong with Joe Carter?

He has good stats. But I simply cannot hit with the guy. I figure it’s a combination of his closed stance and uppercut swing that gives me trouble. Is there anybody who has success with him? Do you have any tips?

I have the same experience with him. My kid and I have taken to calling him "Oh Fer Joe"

Yeah... I can’t hit w him either.. he’s been out of my lineup for a while because he did nothing... and whenever I go back and say... ok another chance... .. I just don’t do well w him..

I hit ok with him. He comes off the bench vs. lefties because I generally try to have a few Jays on my team. He's like .280 with 10 HR, .870 OPS..
The fact I only use him vs. lefties helps. I look for anything in, and he usually crushes.. plus it's usually late game, so his clutch rating comes into effect -

See your problem is that at some point in time, you told yourself in your head “I’m gonna use Joe Carter” which is basically like saying “I’m gonna go invade Iraq with a nerf gun.”

I don’t think he’s good for anyone

Even when I face lefty with Joe perfect perfect is still not gonna be a hit. That’s how bad he is
