Honestly before the update I couldn’t complete the NL West for the life of me. But the AL West was cake for me, my advice would be pick Mark Cahna. Every single time.
Could not agree with you more about Mark Canha. GOAT.

I second this, also Yordan, Fletcher, and La Stella

I've had trouble still with the AL West, but I did the AL Central two days ago and went 11/12. The only one I failed was one where you had to come back from 6-1 in the bottom of the 9th on All-Star (and I got it to 6-5). Was easily the best showdown run I've had. I needed 3 runs to beat Greinke at the end and did it with 17 outs left. The second miniboss was Clevinger and my first four batters homered. I didn't know what was going on or what to think.
Definitely going to try out some of these other ones you call easy.
My ranked record is 19-13 so I would say that I’m barely average at this game. With that said NL west is not difficult, at all. AL west on the other hand, for lack of a better word, sucks .

Man....Mark Cahna is the Goat for the AL West showdown. Homerun 90% of the time it’s insane

Just go into deep counts against JV and the meatballs appear. I think it's one of the easiest.

yup. NL West i cant even beat Yates. 100000x worse than AL West

So before they changed it, I never could get past Ohtani, who has always been on Veteran, I would skip him and maybe half the time beat Verlander on AS.
So I tried yesterday, 20 outs vs Ohtani, and.... yup I got 1 God**** hit. And with the way the CPU pounds the strike zone on Veteran skipping isnt an option. I beat Verlander by being extremely patient and he would get himself in trouble, not going to happen on Veteran. So to me they just made the AL West even harder. I have never beaten Ohtani, just flat out owns me, give me 30 outs, I still may not be able to beat him.
Showdown is by far the worst thing that SDS has ever done. I loved the idea, but the execution was bad.
And honestly it's the ones for TA that suck, I have passed all the innings Showdowns on the first try since struggling with 1st inning, but 2,3 and 4 I got 1st time through.

Same. Facing Bumgarner was a struggle. I've completed it 8x in the past week thanks to the changes lol
AL West I find to be relatively easy before hand and a cake walk now. So many power bats available.

NL west is easy, NL central is easy , AL East isn’t bad. But the AL west the most sketchy pile of rng dog [censored] you can imagine .
I 1000% agree. [censored] Justin Verlander and gay [censored] Minute Maid park

If you want talk about must have players first AL West, it's Willie Calhoun
-
Ohtani is my kryptonite so I agree
-
I have been hating the AL Central... for some reason I suck even though I get all those good bats like Soler, Sano, and such. And in each of the missions the team I am facing ties it up in the 9th pushing it into extras... every, [censored], time!

I actually said to myself yesterday that I need 20 outs and to start it with the bases loaded and I may beat him half the time.

How is Scherzer to beat after the update? I’m one away from him after starting NL East last night. I’ve won every mission so far and I’m one away from Scherzer but I was tired last night and didn’t want to waste my run while tired, so I went to bed.
-
From Easiest to hardest its AL central( because of Franmil reyes, Soler, Carlos Santana at C and literally any live series twins hitter, they are all pretty solid.) NL Central- their best silver player(Schwarber) is worthless against Hader but he is easy to tire out. AL west- Cahna, Calhoun, and Gallo. Ohtani is tougher then Verlander. NL west- You have some decent bats but not great, Bumgarner is tougher than Buehler. This one isn’t easy or hard IMO. AL east. don’t have much for silver bats really, but Sale/Cole is easier than Scherzer/Degrom. NL east- have conforto and Jay bruce but Scherzer and Degrom are tough, scherzer especially. Toughest by far IMO

It must be in my head and not being able to hit well with righty batters. I have found I do better with Lefties and that AL Central is almost all righty hitters. I end up struggling.

Random tip from someone who plays showdown almost exclusively - load up on exit velocity perks and avoid the contact boosts. I'm fairly certain the contact boosts create a larger soft contact area which is creating a lot of the nonsensical hitting outcomes you see criticized on here.

Easier than Thor for me.

Interesting, problem is that contact boosts dominant the choices. I'd have like no perks most of the time if I dont do contact perks. But I'll try it. I'll try anything
