yeah i think puckett is the most underrated player of that era. I really think he was the most complete player from that particular time. He was a five tool player. He was also right before bonds(never a five tool player ask sid bream) and griffey. Tell you the truth, i don't know if anyone was better from 89 to 94. Barry larkin? was he that good in that time? or was he more mid 90's? im old lol

91 with smith geeting deeked out by knoblauch and losing the greatest game 7 ever and then mark wohlers throwing a slider to jim leyritz in 96 when the braves were winning by 3 and leading the series 2 to 1. The yankees would have never came back down 3 to 1. My heart sunk. I was in the military at the time and my best friend was from the bronx and i never heard the end of it.

I respectfully disagree. To be honest, you got it backwards. Bo was an elite football player! He was a just above average good baseball player with very unique gifts that could’ve allowed him to become an elite baseball player. An accurate card of Bo would read something like this: 70 contact, 105 power, 65 fielding (he was not an elite outfielder) 99 arm (dude had a cannon), 99 speed (fastest player in the game).
I disagree about him not being an elite outfielder. He could get to everything. He looked awkward, but i think it was because he had a football body playing baseball. I however agree with your contact and power claim. I think those are very fair. I do however think people tend to overrate how good he was at football compared to baseball. I am an auburn fan and grew up with the guy. I watched him religiously. I also think people thinking I am not saying was an elite football player. He was. I just think he was a better baseball player. I also think that bo thinks that too. His skills just translated better.
Fun debate for sure!! He was the most unique athlete of all time and in my opinion, the greatest athlete of all time!! I look forward to him being in the game!!!

So? heck if that is all you want then almost all small forwards are among the greatest athletes of all time. Heck look at anthony davis and townes who can do everything bron can do. The greatest athletes have to had been good at multiple things or arguments could be made about soccer or nfl recievers being in the mix based off the athleticism it takes to do what they do.

Neither one of those guys mentioned are near as athletic as LeBron lol, I'm also pretty sure LeBron was a 4-5 star high school football recruit not that it matters because you and I have differing views on what athleticism is. I think it's size, speed, strength, jumping ability etc. You think it's skill at multiple sports. If you don't think LeBron is in the top 5 at the very least of athletes of all time you're just a hater...

Baseball he was a top 10 player for 2 years until the other sport took his legs. I know he gets more credit for football for the heisman but he was a better baseball player than football player. He just had more tools to offer when it comes to speed, arm, and power. He was also cutting the strike outs back.
TOP 10? C'mon now.. he led the league in strikeouts in 89 and had an ops of .805... c'mon now with that top 10, average baseball player, possibly the best "athlete" of time, looking at him, LeBron or Wilt Chamberlain as maybe the best athlete of all time.
lebron?? heck no... I don't know enough about wilt but Jim brown and bo are the two best athletes i've ever seen. Jim thorpe may be in that discussion too but again don't know enough about him.And yes bo was a top 10 to 15 player by 1990. It was only be about 125 games because he got hurt and then had the career ender.
Guy LeBron james is 6'9" 260 pounds lol show me another person in history outside of Wilt Chamberlain that has moved like that in that type of body lol
So? heck if that is all you want then almost all small forwards are among the greatest athletes of all time. Heck look at anthony davis and townes who can do everything bron can do. The greatest athletes have to had been good at multiple things or arguments could be made about soccer or nfl recievers being in the mix based off the athleticism it takes to do what they do.
Neither one of those guys mentioned are near as athletic as LeBron lol, I'm also pretty sure LeBron was a 4-5 star high school football recruit not that it matters because you and I have differing views on what athleticism is. I think it's size, speed, strength, jumping ability etc. You think it's skill at multiple sports. If you don't think LeBron is in the top 5 at the very least of athletes of all time you're just a hater...
Dude you have to be athletic in other things or you can't measure athleteisim .. Lebron only played high school football up until his sophomore year so no he wasn't a 4 to 5 star football recruit. Jim brown was a 4 sport athlete who lettered in all at the college level. He was probably a top 3 lacross player of all time and not to mention football and track and field. Bo was an all time college track and field star as to mention baseball and football. Lebron isn't on their level. He isn't close really. Again there are better athletes that play in the nba ie the greek freak , townes, and others if how you judge lebron is the only way you look at athletes. Lebron is obviously a better basketball player but he isn't more athletic than those guys.

It wouldn't be that bad of a card, low contact, high power, strong arm, good speed, low vision, low discipline. His accumulated stats didnt look good because he never played a full season. In 89 he may have had a chance at 40/40 club but only played 135 games. Slugged .523 in 1990.

This actually isn't true. If he didn't play football, he would have been a borderline hof baseball player. He was only getting better and was already one of the top players in 89. Football was his 3rd best sport behind track and baseball.
You are making a projection, yes he got better, but I can show you a dozen guys who looked like they were getting better only to fall back down to earth. You can only look at what he did not what he could have done, and he accomplished more on the football field than the baseball diamond at the professional level.

He's stronger than Giannis, faster and jumps higher then towns, it's clear you're a hater. You can't measure athleticism? I guess all those things they measure at combines don't matter unless you can do other things.. It's very easy to measure size, speed, strength, jumping ability etc.. all the things that athleticism is. Playing baseball is a skill, "running fast" is athleticism.

Maybe they will take a page out of EA's book and do a program of nothing but 95 Bo Jacksons at every position including SP, CP, and Bench Coach.
