Update 1.13 Discussion

Ranked Seasons Pitcher Energy Balance:
Removed energy regeneration for starting pitchers that pitched in the current game.
Slightly increased energy regeneration for all pitchers that did not pitch in the current game.If this means people won't be able to bring SPs unto relief scenarios, if they were already used the prior game(s); this will be HUGE! Am I correct in my assumption? @Victor_SDS

I've never loved a patch's notes more than this. Let's see how it plays out when we actually play...

@Victor_SDS can you just clarify one thing: does this affect the way we hit or is it just a change in the feedback we see?
Clarification isn't needed, re-read the patch notes. Nowhere is it stated that changes have been made to hitting.

I'm not sure, the wording is a bit confusing, like this
"The new system accounts for these nuances in a more reliable way. Better hitters should now generate more 'Good' hits, and 'Good' hits are more consistently valuable than they were in the previous system"I think we do need clarification.
-
I could be missing something but there still doesn’t seem to be an explanation for what distinguishes “perfect” placement from “good” placement and “ok” placement.
The timing seems pretty clear. What determines the launch angle?
-
Great response to the community's feedback. Thanks for the needed update.

Right, which falls under their "improvements" to the contact result. So it's basically another feedback change.

Love the pitching changes from what I read. But as far as the hitting goes, I don’t think this does much. Will have to see if it just makes the feedback actually respond to the input. I will laugh if people are still hitting home runs on swings where the ball is barely even touching the pci.
-
All in favor of releasing the patch now?? Lol
-
I'm cautiously optimistic but, I am glad to see SDS attempting to fix this game.
-
I think hitting engine was not touched, feedback windows show more information so we can understand the physics in why we suck lol

Lmao. Patch notes kinda reads like "here's a second screen to show you why you should STFU and accept the good/okay good sir" hey I'm down for all the transparency in the world so I applaud them for this

In 4 years plus this was the only update that actually sounds good. Every patch was some nonsense menu fix or a stadium ad being corrected etc. This actually seems to address hitting feedback. I guess in 4 more years we will have pitching updated as well. All pitching methods should have similar results. Good timing should the same for pitching as does hitting.

From what I read it looks like you guys are really listings I was waiting for lunch angle to be added in the feed back
Lunch angle?lol

This patch appears to fix nothing in the hitting engine, just shows you why you got the result you did....problem is good/okay contact on balls right down the middle with good timing with the ball in the center of the pci is going to make the hitting engine look like even more of an rng joke when getting good Okay’d lmao!

Squishie why you pickin on these men’s spelling? You went back and changed the “p” in ”forgpt” to an “o” now making it “forgot” P for an O I’d say your PO’d

This does absolutely nothing for horrible gameplay lmaooooooo more detail for me good/okay and my pitches still go down the middle

I totally support more feedback. It's hard to improve when the feedback leads to both good and awful outcomes lol.

Can’t wait to see how it goes

I really hope this update is more than adding more info to swing analysis. A You know the old "Lipstick on a pig". Also not sure how i feel about adding wind online to an already inconsistent hitting system. Just feels like another excuse as to why my p/p flyball with 100+ power batter is only warning track worthy. Again"Lipstick on a pig". With all that said I'll hold judgment until a significant amount of playing time and will definitely applaud you guys for making such a drastic update/change when you could of easily mailed it in.
