Just got level 80 and 300 4th inning stars. I started playing a bit late so I didnt get 1st or 2nd inning rewards. After I sell a few unused diamonds I'll have about 225k stubs.

Catcher: 92 Bench - I'll probably replace with Posey

    1st: 97 Bellinger

2nd: 86 Crawford - I hit well with him but could use an upgrade

SS: 88 Tatis - Plays above his hitting stats. I'm content keeping him for now

    3rd: 95 Corea - Can move him to 2nd

LF: 87 Blackmon - Irreplaceable. One of the best bats in the game. Left field defense doesnt matter much

    CF: 94 Victorino

RF: 90 Gonzalez - Needs to be replaced. Constantly hits rockets directly aimed at the right fielder.

    SP: 99 Kluber, 96 Hernandez, 90 Wood, 88 Maddux, 87 McKay

Bullpen: 86 Morton, 87 Neris, rest are golds

Thinking about buying Griffey or Kemp for Right Field. Or Buying both and selling Victorino. I also want to replace Crawford with Chipper. Need lots of help in the bullpen. Who pitches well online? Who else should I target as a starter? I'd like to save at least 50k stubs.

Thinking Griffey, Chipper, and Chapman are my best market buys. Any other suggestions? Either market or rewards.

I would suggest just starting, if you’re interested in playing ranked. You’ll probably have more fun with your lower rated players, since your matches will more likely be similar teams.

The more meta your team, the more tryhard your match will be.

This is a tad false. My first RS game I had about 5 Diamonds and my opponent was all Bronze/Silvers.

I'm sure the teams I face in the beginning will be weak, and get progressively better.

Would you guys buy Griffey/Chipper/Chapman, or all pitchers? Not sure what I will need more once I face more competitive teams.

Put Bellinger in right, he’s wasted at first with his defense and arm, and you can put another bat first player at 1st, even posey. Go after potm di di And put him at second. Best bullpen arm on the market right now is dibble. Rodney is a good option also if you can control him. But just play a bit of ranked and you’ll see players hit differently in ranked. I have a full “god squad” and I can’t find a reason to take cargo out of my lineup, hes been hitting over .350 for me most of the year and has a lot of clutch HRs

What CC said. Just play a few games and see where your team needs improving.

Thing is I like Griffeys bat more than any first baseman I can plug in instead of Belli. Everytime Cargo comes up the ball rockets off the bat, but I'm always hitting straight to RF.

Didi over Crawford I'm assuming? Probably a good idea to save the stubs for cards yet to come.

Thanks for the bullpen recommendations. I didnt even know where to start.

@MFundercover mccovy is a good option at first. With cargo if his swing doesn’t work for you it doesn’t work and get someone else, I haven’t hit well with Biggio but rake with sandberg and a lot of people do the opposite. Griffey is nice the only problem is he’ll definitely get a better card later down the line and he’s a ws reward so his price is higher than it would be if it was a headliner card. I think you would be better off spreading the stubs around to get a better overall team.

Chapman is also a really good arm off the market, but if you can complete some collections, Doolittle for the As is a good lefty in the pen.

Yes di di over Crawford, plus you can prestige di di.

Thanks, this was good advice. I'll probably grab Didi instead of Chipper to save stubs for better cards.

Cargos swing is great, I get so much good or perfect contact with him but get so many bad results. Maybe things will be better online.

You never know, a lot of people start late WITH diamonds but it's a [censored] shoot how well they play online!

Gagne, Rodney, and Gossage are all relatively inexpensive bullpen options and they are all solid! I love the Gagne card!

POTM didi should be a priority to replace Crawford. Also, some easier programs like Kerry Wood and Amir Garrett will help replace those golds in your bullpen. Osuna and Giles are still decent enough cards you can get by with them.

If you plan on finishing the live series collection which nets you Mantle and well as Sheffield and Biggio along the way, I wouldn't waste too many stubs on guys like Kemp and Griffey.

Your plan of getting Chipper isn't a stretch - he's got a great swing, hits from both sides and is prestigeable, but I'd slot him in at 3 and use Correa at short, putting Tatis on the bench.

Cargo is a solid option in the OF, and if you're looking for a free option to replace him FOTF Gallo is not a bad choice, neither is 86 granderson who has a player program.

I'd be working on a bunch of those programs if I were you. Lots of coins and XP to he had in there. And some more than usable cards, especially for someone just starting online.

    Rule #1 - don't care about W/L record

UNLESS it gets you paid, laid, or you have some sort of crippling self esteem issue where you base your self worth over performance in a video game.

Good rule. But I still want to have competitive games and not get smacked with around by Mantle squads.

Somebody here told me Mantle costs approximately 1.8 million stubs. My net worth is currently somewhere in the 300,000 range, so I think hes out of reach.

My plan for Chipper was to play him at 3rd and either Correa or Tatis at 2nd.

I cant swing with Gallo. I have that card and I dont even use him anymore.

I would take Griffey over everyone. I don’t play a ton at a high level but he has my best slugging % of any of my guys online, and I have Trout and Mantle on the bench waiting for a chance at CF. I absolutely love Griffey’s swing. Him and Ellsbury are my best two hitters.

I have a Mantle squad, NMS, and you could probably smack me around, don't let it scare you!
