I'm an average/below average hitter and 99 Reggie has been a major bust after hundreds of at-bats. Mostly strikeouts or weak popups, and I've moved him to my bench for now. I know I'm stuck with him, but was curious what people think he would fetch on the community market if I could sell him? Also wondered what player he most compares with who is available on the market?

Kemp. A little better hitter than Kemp but worse in the field.

If you can't hit with Reggie it's time to walk away from the game.

Thanks for that, but you didn't answer either of my questions.

Yeah, Reggie is sneaky fast plays better defense then his rating would suggest (gets really good jumps on balls) and knocks anything above his waist into orbit

I'm going to guess you get too excited with Reggie up, hack at pitches too aggressively, which is dangerous since he will be pitched carefully around, you swing at poor pitches and make contact because his PCI is so huge.

I would say that 80% of my Reggie at bats start 2-0 or 2-1. You need to settle down.

If you could sell him I'd say easily more than 95 ov Griffey Jr... Probably 200k+

He most compares to George Foster but a LH bat instead of RH.

Bro some people just can’t hit with certain cards lmao, I can’t hit for anything with reggie and Correa, but I’m pretty sure I have like a .350 average this year and hit really well with other cards, I just can’t get their swings down

Good, constructive advice. I think you nailed it about needing to wait more on pitches. Gonna hit the batting cage next time I fire up the game and get him back in my cleanup spot. Too much of an investment to sit him.

    No problem.

Trust me guys pitch around him. Just take the first 2 pitches with him and watch. Get ahead and you'll start getting stuff to swing at.

Very easy to get carried away with big hitters or new hitters, you just want to mash! Lol...

Big cap lol I consider myself a decent player and I can’t touch anything on HOF with Reggie. He has a super slow swing

It would heavily depend on how he was obtained. WS reward, BR flawless, or headliner. All would have a different price range because the supply of the card would be very different in each scenario.

It would depend how rare he is. Is he a world series reward? Battle Royal? Program boss?

Price really doesn’t depend on the card. It depends on how the card is released. Headliners are the exception to this.

Co-sign on everyone who mentioned the slow swing. When I connect with Reggie, it's a goner, but I have to consciously get the bat started early. I end up sort of guessing fastball or offspeed and if I guess right, it's great.

I like Reggie, especially the prestige one. His bump to silver defense is noticable. I'd probably pay around 100-150K for him.
