Vs CPU doesn't match starter for starter
It does. It just matches your starter # plus 1, hence why I’m telling him to use the #4 starter so he can face their 64 overall 5th starter.

No it is different everyday or couple of days. I usually use common free agents that are in the low 50s overall so they are always always my 5th starter and I always play the orioles of late. And one day I will face John means all day and a couple days later it is asher wojski and even other days it might be keegan akin.

My matchups are the same unless they have 2 or more of the same ratings in their top 5 pitchers. 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, etc.

Every team I’ve ever played has lined up the way I described. Using your 5th starter isn’t the best idea though because it would give you their ace everytime.

Lol no dude that's not how it works, but maybe it is different for everyone somewhat. Take today for example. I put a 53 common pitcher at my 5 spot and I can go in right now 100/100 times I get Alex Cobb (the orioles #3). Tomorrow could be any of the other ones. One day it will be John means and just the other day it was asher wojski every time. Different every day but the same pitcher for the entire day no matter who I put out there. Today I go with my #1 and I'd still go against Alex Cobb today every time.

The Orioles are one team with pretty bad pitchers all together. I’m not doubting what you’re saying, but I’m also not picking the starter I face every play vs. CPU game by fluke.
-
The game always matches the pitchers for me. Keep in mind that the game does not care what order you place the pitchers in as it always orders them based on rating. So if you have a worst pitcher in your #1 spot and your best pitcher in the #5 the game will reorder them for the purposes of choosing the opposing pitcher.
Every conquest and every vs cpu game I have played (and I only play offline) has worked this way.
-
It works that way in Conquest but not in play vs CPU. That’s how it has worked all year for me.

I am playing a Conquest game at this exact moment and am using my #5 pitcher. The Cards are using Dakota Hudson, a 68 card who is not their ace.

It’s different in Conquest. They match your pitcher’s spot in the rotation.
