Another Award Winning Year

After another awarding winning year I start to wonder if SDS is getting bored. Where do they keep all the trophy's? Year after year making fantastic games must be fun but maybe you guys should take it down a notch so that a competitor may feel brave enough to come out and release a baseball game. Cheers to your greatness SDS

Not only are they not getting “board,” they’re out getting hammered.

I'm sure competitors gladly would feel brave enough to make a baseball game.....
...... if they had the rights. It's a monopoly, not a competitive landscape (which benefits consumers). Economically speaking, there's no real drive to truly innovate. What I do think is remarkable is that in spite of not having to do anything at all, SDS has added new features and improved content year after year.

So hard to judge sarcasm in written form... More emojis please.

EA could have had the rights, they did not want them, the exclusive deal does not start til 2021.

Couldn't agree more with Tyler here. SDS comes year in and year out and makes the game of the year, I honestly feel like the only reason they don't get all the awards is because they have to save them for other developers too.

They have become a victim of their own success

Another award winning year for Tyler. Bringing us the dumbest threads since '18

How does RBI Baseball exist of SDS has a monopoly? Now, RBI baseball is a different beast and is not much competition but if SDS has a monopoly on the MLB license then RBI baseball would not exist.

RBI is developed in-house by MLB.

It's the sad reality in today's world. But at least the true real ones like us with always be there to acknowledge the great success of a great game and company.
