Griffith.. you can take advantage fast gap hitters and the slow outfielders and work on your pitches with room to roam
I also like Griffith.
I alternate between and all speed and all power team and that park is meant for fast teams. Its like 390 something to left, 420 something to center, and even if you do smash a ball to right the wall there is 30 feet high.
If you have a speedy outfield you can shut down heavier power teams - which is nice as it presents people another strategy besides strikeout or hit a home run.
Having a fast team in Griffith means you can get doubles, triples, and be very aggressive on the base paths.
I like Griffith also. I like the uniqueness of the dimensions and the fact that its more difficult to hit home runs. Only problem I've noticed which almost makes it unplayable is the lack of batters eye. The sunlight fades into the top of the strike zone and it makes seeing high pitches there really difficult. If it wasn't for that, Griffith would easily be number one to me.

If you’re a sheep, Shippett.

I like riverboat. Kinda short down the lines. Large gaps. Plays well. Laughing mountain used to be mine in 19.. until they had that hitting patch late in the cycle so I switched to that massive blue stadium in the desert that’s like 450 to center. And I can assure you less homeruns were hit
Which stadium is blue and in the desert?

I believe it’s Barnes Canyon

Shippet is the generic equivalent of Coors. I typically play there right now in RS not because I like it but I don’t feel rewarded for hits playing anywhere else. I keep an eye on other places when I’m on the road but my Perfect-Perfect fly ball with 100 exit velo with Chipper at Bayfront that was a F8 that didn’t even reach the track really frustrated me. So I play at Shippet for the time being.
Actually Laughing Mountain is MiLB Coors, similar altitude and dimensions. Shippett is shorter fences at about 3000 ft elevation

My guilty pleasure is the Polo Grounds. I used to be much better at this game in the earlier days of DD and I would set my defense to play the CF deep with the corner OFs regular depth and shifted towards center to cut off the gappers. I rarely play there these days due to a combination of the defensive shifts changing on their own too often and feeling cheesy by playing there, although I do enjoy when my opponent chooses Polo Grounds.
With the way this game is, I'm happy to play anywhere other than Coors, laughing mountain or shippett. MLB stadiums don't bother me but 91 mph HRs to left/right or 96 to dead center cost me far more joy when I allow them when I hit them so high elevation parks are not for me

I’m playing in Laughing Mountain for the time being, trying to finish my prestige cards.

My home park is lake front stadium (atleast I think it’s called that).
-
Love Griffith w/ my NY Knights vintage unis and Minoso-Snider-Cobb OF running down everything
-
I love Bayfront at night... the Ferris Wheel is pretty lol
-
Aesthetically it’s bay front then statesman. The Ferris wheel is beautiful but it’s like playing in the dead ball era. Statesman fountains are very nice and makes it less painful giving up homers.

Griffith is 400 to LF line

I used to play at the Riverfront Stadium a lot but I didn't like when I'd hit the elevated sign out in LF for a double robbing me of a HR. I've been playing ST games in FL recently. I guess it's kind of boring but seems to play pretty fairly to hitter and pitcher.
Riverfront? I think you may be thinking of Crosley Field

The one with the paddle wheel steam boat. It's not a huge sign but its really irretating when you hit it.

Thanks for this! I've wondered about some of the dimensions and have to look it up. This is nice right here, all in one spot.
