Chipper - Best Card in the Game?

The answer is NO to the title. I get that he has a good swing but Mantle is the best card and it isn't even close. Currently chasing after him, used him in BR a few times, he is a god. Maybe Thames is the best hitter but Mantle is the best all around without a question

I used him in BR recently and his first two at bats for me were home runs vs a RHP.

Second behind mantle - the switch factor Is huge , and now that I prestiged him it’s silver fielding which actually makes a huge difference, he plays 3b like arenado

99 Eric Thames is a beast! He absolutly rakes for me in BR. In like 20 games I'm hitting over 600 with him

I don't think Chipper would be viable at short. He already gets some bad animations at 3rd for me, but more than makes up for it with his bat. He has the best OPS on my team and I have finished collections and have prestige Reggie.
I'm actually using him there now. He's botched a couple of plays, but generally he gets it done. This is with Edgar at 3rd too who is even worse, I use Madrigal at 2nd and Evan White at 1st to compensate for how terrible the stats are on the left side.

Not even joking, he hits a homerun against me every game.
Doesn't matter what pitcher I'm using, pitches thrown in or out of the zone, its just an auto homerun every time it touches his bat.
Got Sheffiled at 3rd and Trout in left, is Chipper viable at Short? If so I'm just gonna go ahead and buy him today.
Correa and Didi will just collect dust I guess...
Cards play differently for different people, never buy a card because you get beat by that card. It's why card recommendations are a waste to me.

I put chipper at SS after I pulled heyward from the flash pack yesterday so I could try him out. Knock on wood he did fine. Heyward, not so much. Although he does have a cannon in right. I threw 2 guys out at first on base hits

I wish he had another secondary, like even 1st base. So hard to find him a spot in the field on an elite team, yet his bat is so good.
I dont know exactly how out of position players work but if he can have at least have common fielding ie anything over 0 fielding should be good enough. I know Frank Thomas common fielding was decent last year. -
I just like the programmed comment that sometimes comes up when they reference his switch hitting.
