Felix vs Ellsbury
-
Slowly approaching 300 stars and the more I look at Ellsbury's card the more I'm thinking about snagging him. Felix seems like the better option with the plethora of OF, but that 90 power vs RHP is enticing. Anyone have reviews on Felix or Ellsbury and in the same boat?

Outfield is stacked dude. You're better off grabbing Kingman when he drops or even Kenny Lofton if you want that speed threat.
-
Pick the most expensive one and sell it. These bosses won't be worth keeping in the long while.
-
Ellsbury has been insane for me. Not everyone has mays and Sheffield, so there was room in my outfield for a fast, diamond fielding outfielder that has a fantastic swing, no shift, small strike zone, can be prestiged, and has tons of power vs RHP

Idk, I feel like Prestige Hernandez will be one of the best SP even at the end of the year.
Unless you just mean sell him now and buy back later, which is absolutely the right move.

Nah, Felix is sadly but true a disappointment every single year. His stats and pitches look nice, but he never lives up to it and always gets rocked. There's a reason he's never on anyone's team deeper in the year. I had the 12-0 card last year, his 96 SS card, he got crushed every single time. This year will be no different.

Sinkers are more op than they ever have been though. We’ll see at the end of the year I suppose.

I watched Tulo's Felix debut on youtube (Top 50 guy), and he pulled him in the second inning and I believe sold him right after the game haha. He didn't seem to like him I just thought it was funny that the video was about Felix and he barely pitched

I’ve never seen the guy play, so this isn’t directed at him. But most top guys are top guys because of their hitting ability, not necessarily because they’re great at pitching.

I think it's safe to say that once you get up to those higher ranks, nobody is that great of a pitcher because those folks don't miss the forced meatballs on good feedback lol

Yep. Felix is actually really nasty but he still gave up four bombs for me. He’s not unhittable... I took the 80k.
Will grab him again if he settles around 50k

Id pick Felix and then sell him. Buy him back later.

Honestly, I thought this was a no-brainer when they revealed the cards but after doing the 4th Inning Showdown and having Ellsbury just destroy it all the way through and make the Showdown itself so easy, I'm just going to buy Felix off the market tomorrow and use my pick on Ellsbury when I get to 300 stars. I'm currently at 198, and that's without getting the 10 Ranked Seasons wins and the stat mission for Future Stars.
Oh, and this is probably the most crucial part of what I'm telling you... I have the Live Series collection done, own Reggie Jackson and the Headliner Matt Kemp and I'm still prioritizing getting Jacoby Ellsbury on my team.
Ellsbury will no doubt be a bench piece on my team but I feel like he's almost essential as that smooth-swinging righty killer with elite speed and stealing ability. I was someone who laughed off the thought of this card over Felix not long ago.
That said, I should also say that I haven't used the Felix yet. But if I'm going off of what his Signature Series was like last year, he's going to be in my rotation all year.
