I’m 62-11 in ranked and consider myself good at the game, for context to my opinion.
Showdown challenges and the mode itself, is easy. No disputing especially after they watered it down by giving you more runs.
What makes it challenging is how differently the game plays from other modes, mainly in the first stage of showdowns.
Had a good/good swing on a 4SFB slightly inside, almost dead center of the pci and the exit velo was a few mph lower than the pitch speed.. that’s awful and doesn’t happen in any other mode.
Is what it is, but it’s the sliders and gameplay in the first stage of showdowns that I feel like people have an issue with but the majority can overcome it pretty easily

Yeah, PCI placement seems to be essentially ignored at times. It's so inconsistent, though. Some moments everything is playing straight up and then the next one even P/P won't get you a positive outcome.
I'm definitely starting to get the "WTF else can I do?" deja vu I had with '19.

Showdown is my main mode, I play it alot. I haven't noticed any changes.

Yeah, it didn’t seem like it was any different. Being able to get more runs along the way made it doable for me, but I do agree in principle.
Take away the whole idea of slider adjustment and just make the difficulties what they are, across the various modes.
If that means showdown bosses are on legend, so be it.

They took a page from Madden with Solo Battles for Showdowns.

The pitch speeds in showdown are absolutely faster than all star conquest. Maybe it's just the al but I can't get going in that 1. I've won the nl most tries

I haven't failed one in the past 9. I'm not all that good either. The stage 2 ones are really easy.

Being easy has absolutely nothing to do with it when anything you get ahold of flutters to the outfield or when you get a man on 1st you know a double play is coming no matter how high in the zone you make contact.

Being easy has absolutely nothing to do with it when anything you get ahold of flutters to the outfield or when you get a man on 1st you know a double play is coming no matter how high in the zone you make contact.
That just isn’t true. I’ve never had those issues in Showdown. If I hit a ball hard and in the air with a power hitter, it almost always leaves. And double plays are easy to stay out of, just get under the ball.

I wouldn’t say they are hard, but can be frustrating when the CPU has gold glovers everywhere. Common fielders with their diving catches and robbing homers is getting ridiculous.

Again you are wrong. Easy or difficult are perspectives which are based on many factors: skill level, time to play, enjoyment, and many others. Just because from my perspective you are a [censored], for example, doesn't make it Truth. See how it works? You do not get to decide Truth, only your perspective. Another example would be how I find the concept of perspective easy, but you find that difficult.

Rookie=Beginner/story mode
Veteran=easy
All Star=normal
HOF=hard
Legend=hardestSo even tho the "easy" difficulty may still be difficult for some people, it is still considered "easy".

It's pretty clear they stealth buffed showdown sliders in the last update. Not sure why you're so hell bent on pushing back against the majority that have the mental capacity to notice it.
Yes, I beat the 4th inning showdown easily, and yes, they were easier BEFORE the last patch. Both can be true.
