I mean, he was the greatest pitcher in Marlins history and in track for the hof.
Anyone who says no and keeps bringing up his mistake doesn’t realize the stress he was under or the situation he was in. Yeah he made a mistake, but do you realize the other mlb players doing what he did?
I mean look at doc gooden, darryl Strawberry, and I bet a bunch more dudes was doing what he did. We weren’t in his situation so y’all old heads need to stop putting him down. He was just a kid and he made a mistake. -

It’s as if you were there that night or have inside info.
But hey, hope you’ve been a saint your whole life my man. Such a shame a young rising star made a bad decision that ultimately took his life. So weird how he’s the only person in sports history to have that happen. What a truly HORRIBLE human.

If he had died in an accidental aircraft crash like Kobe or Payne Stewart, yes. If he was in the second tower on 9/11, yes. If he was saving his neighbors kitten who was stuck in a tree but lost his balance, broke his neck and died, yes.
But when you get drunk and coked out of your mind with Kenny Powers at Shaboom's and decide racing boats is a good idea, killing yourself and committing manslaughter, no way.

Everyone needs to cool off on jose being the greatest marlin of all time thing. Only people born after year 2000 would ever think that. He was on track for greatness but never really accomplished anything.
I dont care about what he did as a person, tons of people of been awful people off the field, its not my business.
But seriously does no one remember how dominant josh Beckett was during their world series run, or even aj burnett. Way higher ceilings then jose ever had. Even josh johnson leads the marlins in every single pitching category and was dominant for a good stretch. Hell even d train had a better run then jose. Id take anyone of of those guys having beast cards before jose
